Map by: Nikon

k, some of you may say it's exactly like skylands, but I've just been super inspired by grotto and cave style of layout and graphics. Anyway hope you guys enjoy it!

Changes: took some off the sides to make map wider, changed border color at top of the map to it more visible, adjusted background slightly, moved, added and adjusted rocks

Playable on official test server

I like the center layout (similar to grotto fsho). However, idk if it's just me but it seems a bit compact and there's not much color contrast.

I dislike maps with unexpected bounces like asteroids, so low area here imo should less "sharp"(??).

Are you actually saying it's too open? cause it's not at all, it's like cave kinda.

I like the map. I'm just wondering if this map can be made wider...

I wanted a variation from a super smooth bottom on skylands.

Also played it today in 6v6

Did not seem to open. I played whale and it seemed just fine.

I don't like the colors on the background very much but that's easy to deal with via para false.

Should be even better now with less chance for longshots

So after trying out this map today:

1) For the most part it isn't open. However in front of the goals you can make some longer shots towards the bottom.

2) I understand the color context with coal; it just didn't seem to mash together correctly when playing with the ball/planes and the subtle difference between background and foreground objects.

3) The rugged bottom is interesting, but perhaps might be better suited with obstacles that are shorter in height (think pebble in asteroids).

Overall, good map Nikon!
