Hard to describe, but it's acting as if I'm holding down a button, maybe <ESC>. I made a video - at the intro screen I'm not touching anything.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSmDG4H5SH8 In reality, it flashes a lot faster. It makes it almost impossible to select a plane, unless I hold F and get lucky. My version is Steam integrated. I've tried verifying the game files, defragging the game cache, uninstall and reinstall, reboots. Ran a full Malware Bytes and Avast scan to rule out weird malware doing things with my keyboard. It could certainly be environmental, but I haven't installed anything new over here that I can remember. Win 7 x64. Edit: also tried both fullscreen and windowed mode with the same result. Thanks, -Joe |

1) While on a screen that flashes, does it continue to flash when the keyboard or mouse is unplugged? I'm wondering if this is caused by software or hardware. If it stops flashing when one of these two are unplugged, its hardware.
2) Did you participate in the Humble Bundle Mojam? When I start the mojam game, the screen flashes with their start screen and several previously played game graphics (from Alti to Creeper World). I can't seem to get lucky and get it to accept input though. |

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately, that's a no on both. I unplugged the keyboard and mouse, and no change. I've never installed the humble indy anything.

Looks like something is spewing garbage to the input layer, maybe an art tablet or something like that being recognized as a controller.
Try this: Options -> Controls -> Gamepad -> Disable controller support |

I have seen control interface drivers freak out like that once... I unplugged everything, but the pointer would move on it's own. The GI would pop out the start menu every 8 or 10 secs... like I pressed the "windows' key.
In the YouTube vid, it looked like the interface was jumping around as if keys were being pressed... Just like that crappy old Acer did. Q: Just Altitude or is it happening with other programs too? If it is several programs try this 'cause this is what worked for me: Reinstall the HID Drivers (Human Interface Device Drivers) and my custom mouse drivers. If it is only Altitude and nothing else... ![]() Hope lamster or karl can help. |
