Well including Air and SFDFLKDSFHLSDJFHKSJD that is 4 teams that would want a postponement this week, so that is what we will do. SL playoffs will start Sunday June 24th with Rounds 1 and 2 of the winners bracket and round 1 of the losers bracket.

Ok I figure I just better ask the captains what they want to do here. This sunday is EURO cup finals and so we are wondering what the best suggestion is. I don't think we should skip another week, but we may reduce to only one round being played this week (which will likely make playoffs go another two weeks). If you think your team is going to have difficulty showing up this weekend let me know.

I don't think those finals should be a problem honestly. they start at 8:45 PM CET. and end at like 10:30 PM CET. Playing one game might be the best way of people really want to see it, but 2 games should be fine too --> EC isn't like the world championship, so little compared to that.

by the way, i know i'm out of the tournament etc. etc. but i'm just giving my opinion >.>

I never said that had anythingto do with that, but i know a lot of european gamer who don't actually care about stuff like the EC. So that's why i posted it.

I don't think we are going to skip this week, we just may reduce how many games we were planning. I want to play at least the semis and losers 2nd round. Ideally, we would like to get the loser's bracket two rounds this week. However, we won't force the second game if one of the two teams need to leave.

Another suggestion to ensure this occurs is to start maybe at 1:30 pm EST (5:30 pm GMT)? Let me know what you think. If too many no's occur then we will start at the normal time with one match for the winners and loser's brackets, then the two teams who make it through the losers bracket can decide whether they want to go ahead with their match this week.

That is why I suggested if we started at 6 GMT only playing one match and see if the second one could be played with the teams. I also suggested starting a bit earlier to avoid any conflict with it. I think as a group we cant afford to skip this week. This is one thing that was brought up when we decided to skip a week between regular season and playoffs. By skipping this week completely as well we are going to be forcing one team to complete 3 bo5's next week (this is also unfair). If your team can agree to make up your match before hand with your opponent before the start of next week fine. But I think we as an admin group agree that we need to play at least one round this week.

Also, playing one match even starting at 6 GMT should not interfere too severely with the match. Starting at 5:30 GMT will not at all.

Here's a question: Why can't we skip Sunday and just make it last for two Sundays after that? I understand that you don't want to make a team have to do 3 bo5s but is there something wrong with just a one-week extension, or something special about the sunday two weeks from this one?

If indeed the euro-based teams that are left (vlix and bbq) can't show up (as Raisin and Cookie have guessed) and have to forfeit because of it, then this will be a crappy end to SL indeed.

I don't care either way. I find it stupid that we can not play one game before the euro cup starts, but whatever. Pushing back the tournament does not really effect any of the ball teams but there is a 1dm tourny that will either have to be moved or people not allowed to play in it due to SL taking longer then normal. I don't understand why people voted to skip a week in the beginning if they knew this was going to happen. If the teams can show this weekend then show, if not then don't I guess...

Well, every suggestion I made either got shot down...or no one responded to it.

Balln it really isn't fair to have the three euro teams not be able to show on sunday and make them all forfeit. I suggested saturday but since you said you guys could not make it then i am not going to make it go saturday...there is zero options available where everyone can be happy so I am going with the option where I feel the majority is.
