Demo VS Paid tournament!

After much fierce debating, jumping off topic, assorted insults, and random gibberish, the decision has been made that the only way to fully prove whether paid players suck or demo players suck, is to have a contest between the two. Thus, I present to you, the Demo VS Paid user tournament!

DEMO USERS - VERSUS - FULL USERS

Consisting in 3 rounds
of 9 vs 9 [?]
Team Base Defense battles
------------------------------------------------------------------

Full users, if you're SICK of those Demo users infesting servers like cockroaches, and want your chance to stomp them out like the pests they are; Demo users, if you've HAD IT with Full users acting all high and mighty just because they spent $20 on the game, and want to bring them down from their pedestal; Or ANYONE, if you want a chance to compete against some of Altitudes greatest players, think that maybe you're one of them, or are just bored:

Simply post your Altitude username
whether you are a Demo or Full user,
and anything else you think would be helpful.

People will be picked out and kicked out by fellow contestants.

First, 9v9 is a horrible way to play and if you had any sense of this game you would know this. So I will update your challenge and offer a 5v5 challenge. This is the same format as the recently finished tournament.

Having any matches in Deathmatch is also horrible because there are no official maps for that mode yet and it is still in testing. I propose that we do all TBD matches as this has been around for a long time and is the general format for tournaments.

what I don't understand is why the paid people WOULDN'T do this. Yeah, it's a stupid format but do the paid guys actually think they'll lose? Hell, I'd be surprised if you could even round up 9 decent demo players.

I'm hoping for more than 5 people on each team - yes, that would be a decent team size, but it would be nice to see more than just the 3 or 4 Altitude prodigies , dishing it out. At least a general idea of what the "good" Demo/Full player can do.

There were only a couple people who believe in global warming, antislavery, and womens rights, and look where they ended up. Gosh this sounds corny. Why can't a dumbed down simplified version happen here? And I think if Demo players beat Paid players, it would prove something.

I mostly agree with you but there really aren't enough choke points on that map. So we either need a map with more choke points (someone can make one) OR more planes. 30 v 30!

Your wager kind of sucks. You could say you quit, then just make a new account and no one would really know (or care...)... whereas, in the extremely unlikely case that you did win, someone would be out 20 bucks.

It would be incredibly hilarious to me though if you got someone to agree to this, then got a bunch of good players to smurf as demo players though

I remember the 32 vs 32 matches on the PARTY PRINCESS (or whatever) server. Nothing like a 64 max player server to really determine skill.

He challenged me to see who could get the most kills in a 7 v 7 server to determine who was the best. These demos have a lot to learn

The talent pool of demo players fall off sharply after that, because as everyone has pointed out to you time and time again. If they really cared and wanted to get better they bought the game, and are now paid players.. I dont understand how you dont get that...

I dont believe there are enough demo players to string together to handle even Maimers list.. and thats nothing. They will toy with you, they will destroy you, and then they will point and laugh. Demo planes are no match for everything else out there.. And the good players have already converted to paid... Weak planes and weak players vs Strong planes and strong players.. yeah sign me up for that please... moron.

Not all people who really cared about the game are good.
Not all people who are good can or want to buy the game.
I don't see the logic of your argument. You're making the generalization that if you're good the game, you must buy it if you can. Why should you? You're already good at the game. Why use $20 on something you seem to be great at already? Thats like spending cash for a special high speed swimsuit when you're already faster than everyone you know. Now, if you're not so good, it would make some sense. Not to mention, not all good players have credit cards and pay pal accounts. So the question is this: Are there more people who pay because they want to be at Olympic level, or because they aren't good? And do demo payers not pay because they don't care about being better, or because they're good enough, or because they can't?

If demo players can be good and can't be good along with players who purchased the game what is the competition about? There is nothing then to prove is there if in the end some are good and some arnt. Maybe you can be proud of killing less skilled paid users? Might as well just join an official game and play with whoever.

Bringing up a competition between payed and not payed already speaks of a difference in gameplay so what is it? Payed players have more options is all. Therefore as not all are better, payed players have a definite advantage

Not having paypal/card is a hilariously bad excuse. Do adults without cards really exist? I mean, especially if youre sitting on your pc/your parents pc, lol. I can understand a lot of other reasons though, no cash atm etc, but the demo users with 100+ hours logged, pay or gtfo :/ Theyre obviously enjoying the game, which is what counts(not that 'Im good already' ****).
