Crashing on Linux
Hey Everyone,
I thought I'd make a quick post rather than bug tech support to see if anyone else has had the same issue I have. On two separate hardware setups, I've run into a crash when trying to run the Linux version of Altitude. The game starts up, goes to a black screen, then crashes down to being minimized and just runs in the background until I kill it manually. Here is the skinny on the setups I've tested on: Kernel: Linux 3.5.0-17-generic (x86_64) Distribution : Linux Mint 14 Nadia GPU Driver: AMD Catalyst 12.36.0.8.39197 Java: IcedTea 7 ver. 1.3.2-1ubuntu0.12.10.2 Laptop: HP dm1z with AMD E-350 and HD 6310 graphics Desktop: Core 2 Quad with AMD HD 7870 graphics Does this seem more like a driver issue, or a Java one? I'll continue testing things out and report back. Thanks! |

I would guess it's a video driver issue but if you could post the contents of your Altitude.log file located in [AltitudeInstallDir]/log I might be able to tell you more.
