I like the remake.

The sky above the bases still feels kinda plain though.

This map looks fantastic, going up to the very top looks rather long.

I've still found the best way to bomb the bases is to ignore the pyramid and bomb over the top. (At least in the old version)

Could you find a way to fix that?

Now that I think about it, why not have a neutral bomb in the middle?

I'm up for that, as long as you get rid of the team only bombs.

If there is a neutral bomb, why would team bombs be there? XD

I'm up for the neutral bomb but how about putting the neutral bomb at the top of the pyramid?

Then there wouldn't be much incentive to enter the pyramid.

That would be that point of middle bomb inside the pyramid.

please don't judge this map from how the old one played, everything has been scaled down so its almost half the physical size of the original, its very easy to get to the top and since all the passages are much more open in the pyramid its much more viable bomb run as well,
sin: the way the trees are positioned its quite difficult to get a lob from the top

I beleive there is already a neutral bomb underneath the top of the pyramid, and I don't see much change, not saying you didn't do a good job pig, but I think if you're gonna try to make it better make a big change.

I liked the old one.

Owning the inside of the pyramid with miranda for half an hour was epic.

This map has been seeing play on New England TBD and Lobstar Cove. Go check it out if you haven't yet!

Personally I love it. It is entirely playable, and so nicely different from the other maps. Need more testing to know more, though!

As a color-blind person I have a hard time with the person in the center of the pyramid. It's hard for me to notice that it's not a background image and that I can actually run into it. I also have a hard time with things like trees and whatnot. If there was anyway to make it more clear as to what can be run into and what can't that would help me a ton.

Furthermore, I don't like how flying into the top of the map kills you. Especially when there is that small gap above the pyramid so a single mine will kill you.

I like the concept of this map, but there are a couple things I would change. I think the trees should be switched with each other. The tree covering the base almost makes it impossible to get those epic lobs from the top of the pyramid (which the map is know for round the world). The other tree has much less coverage and therefore would provide that opportunity to bomb from the top. Also, I think you should think about adding 1 more hole in the side of the pyramid towards the top. (well 1 hole on each side to be exact). I think that the inside of the pyramid just feels too cut off from the rest of the map. Last thing is the clouds. I know you used the clouds from Lost City (oh haven't we all lol) but you sized them up so huge that they become distorted. I would rather just see a straight line of the darker foreground clouds and then just use the midground clouds in the next layer at normal size (do not scale them).

This map has been in the works for years it seems! Keep it going and make it perfect!

Actually, this is one of my favourite things about Pyramid. I think it makes it very unique that you have to choose the world of light or the underworld of death and darkness. Two separate yet viable bomb runs.

Pig,

Ever since the first time you posted this map I knew it had great potential. It was actually the first map that I liked that anyone else had posted. Initially I wanted to jump in and help, but I didn't. Now, I really like where this map is going and I want to see it "finished" or at least help you towards that goal. I took the liberty of working with you map. I didn't do much, tweaked a few things here, added a couple objects here, etc. The only major change is in the background and some of the parallax layers.

I have made two versions of the map. One has the layout pretty much the same as you have it and the second has new "holes" towards the top of the pyramid. I am including the links for you to download them and I don't want this to get misconstrued (so please don't download these versions to host on any server unless directly told by Pig Bomb himself). I am not trying to take over your work and if you don't like these at all then I will delete the post entirely. I am just want to help give this map that final push. The pictures of both versions are attached to the post. They will look identical except for the two holes in the pyramid at the top of the second picture.

Let me know what you think. You are welcome to use any and all of what I have done with these maps.

-Maimer

Played the new version with the new openings up top, today. I like the smaller tree tops, but I really much prefer the old version of the pyramid with its two separate bomb routs (no top openings). I think it plays a lot better, and more interestingly. The feel was unique. I think Pig should stick with his original design for this.

I haven't played much of either version, so I can't really compare, but I did really like the map. My big gripe is that I had a huge problem telling foreground from background objects. Even with the big glowing sarcophagus in the center, somehow the red is too similar to the background to really make it stand out. The main offenders here are:

- the sarcophagus

- the trees

- the gold piles in the bottom center

Other than that, I had a lot of fun with it.
