Patch: october 9th, map updates, bug fixes

October 9th, 2009

added new official map tbd_grotto (thanks to Carbon for the official map and Pillars/Maimer for the original design)
updated a bunch of ball maps
renamed server filter Type:Hardcore/Softcore to Walls:Hard/Bouncy

ball mode: outline on ball indicator is now black when the ball is free falling (not held by any plane)

vote UI now disappears after voting
Refresh button under the server list window now works.

map editor:
added straight line helper for dragging objects (hold shift after initiating drag)
added Selection->Duplicate (Ctrl+U) for precise copy/transform manipulations
added explodet outlines around spawn points for easier spawn positioning

fixed a few bugs

this is good, but is there a way to fix the server bug where servers wont duplicate every time you edit them?

I dunno about anyone else, but that always drove me insane. I'd ALWAYS want to vote and then immediately hit 5... no reason for me to have that stupid box blocking part of my screen once I voted. I'm super happy to see this change.

I agree with Dio, though I know there are others who gain some sort of visceral pleasure from seeing the numbers tally up.

as an alternative to the reason field when vote kicking, how about bringing back polls? that way, we can have our fun without accidentally kicking someone. *cough* maimer *cough*

I enjoyed watching the tally count up as someone was about to get kicked. Especially when it's a really close vote, then I get to cast the deciding one

+1 on this, people always want an explanation anyway unless it's kicking hitler or something.

Suggestion: for every change like this, please put a checkbox in the option panel. People can decide what they want, no complains.
It solves all problems, I can't understand why we cannot customize all these things.
