Default Logging Problem

hi all,

I have a problem with logging into Altitude. It launches ok but then hangs on
UDP - handshake 1.

Then I get message "Unable to connect to UDP authentication server. Please try again later."

It does not go any further. (.

It was ok about a week ago and then suddenly I can't play.
I'm using mac with OS 10.5. What is interesting, I've installed Altitude on different mac in my office, to check and that works no problem. Looks like something on my mac is wrong. I've tried to reinstall Altitude but didn't help.

I can log in fine at home.

Please help - I can't just work all day ;-)

Weird -- it may be a local firewall, or it maybe something in your options file.

Try deleting /Applications/Altitude/config/options.xml to restart with default options.

Do you have a firewall program that could be blocking UDP traffic?

hey Lamster,

Thanks for quick reply.

I've tried to delete options.xml but didn't help.

I do not have any custom firewall installed. On a mac which is the same as mine it works fine, so it has to be something on my mac but I don't have a clue what.

Please send a bug report from each machine (Start Altitude, F1 to open console, reportBug, enter) and I'll see if there are any obvious differences. Maybe the network admin opened up one of the machines on the corporate firewall so he could game from that one?

Anyways, please let me know if you find something.

Looks like there's something weird going on with UPnP processing.

Try changing your port (e.g. 27273 instead of 27272) under Options -> Gameplay.

nope. Doesn't go any further with new port.

Would just trowing the whole application to the bin and then installing it again make it clear new ? Is there any other entries I should clean, like library, etc ?
Maybe if I clear all those and install altitude again, it will work ?

I could use time machine to go back one week or so with my mac but I'm little afraid as I'm working on an important project now and don't want to screw it.
