With the new update, all you have to do is go to "Export --> Screenshot"
And There you have it. |

I think it looks pretty good. It looks like a very fast map with easy goals (somewhat like ball_cross). It's a small map with too many powerups, though. You have eight, and I'd recommend you reduce that number to four or five.

Just search by typing the name under which you saved the map. This way you will also see the map's name.

Actually, /private/var can't be searched with spotlight. You'd have to navigate there using terminal or Go-->Go to Folder...
It's a real pain and there must be a better way. Karl, lamster??? |

SUGGESTION: Probably it'd be much easier if Altitude created its own folder for those exports, just right in with the folder with the application and config folders..

Yeah or just go to your computer and put the map name in the searchbox.

Wolf, stop repeating the suggestion. It doesn't work. It may work for you, but on a Mac (with default search settings), you can't search for a file inside of the /private directory.

Okay, this really should be in the tech support thread, and I'll just preface this by saying that you _should not_ have to do this (i.e. the Map Editor should be able to export elsewhere, or to allow the user to specify a location) and that it's moderately techie, but here goes:
1. When you export a screenshot, the Map Editor shows you the path to the file (which starts with /private/var/... etc.) and the filename. You can copy this or write it down. 2. From the Desktop, click on the Go menu and choose Go to Folder... 3. Paste in the path from step 1 or follow steps 4-5 below. 4. Type in /private 5. Type /var after that. Continue to type the rest of the path, optionally using the tab key to auto-complete each section of the path. The slashes indicate folders, by the way. You'll need to type in the path up until the last slash. Alternately, you can just type part of the path (e.g. /private) and then click Go and navigate through the rest of the folders by double-clicking. 6. Click Go. Look for the file with the exported filename from step 1. Last edited by tgleaf; 06-03-2010 at 06:21 PM. |

I'm always a fan of inverted goal maps.
And this one, having the goals so close to the wall should provide us with some interesting moves. |

This map can now be played on {arr} servers #1, #2 and #3. It is not in the rotation though so you need to do a vote to change to it. I hope people will test this out and give feedback in this topic.

Wow, this map works really well according to initial testing on 6v6. Most players really liked it. Someone pointed out that the smoke from planes can't be seen on the full black background, so that needs to be changed (maybe some kind of simple texture?) but otherwise I think this map is close to ready. Further testing still needs to be done to be sure of course, but I don't anticipate any major changes required for this one.
