The Final Frontier League!

Final Frontier League, will be a organization led by Flight 666 and Nipple with support of DMCM(IL captain) Class (KLF captain), Nick Eli (IL Player), YorK (KLF Player) Bong (BB Founder and Captain).

The goal is to encourage the creation of clans to bring back the competitive game.

The Final Frontier Draft

Format:
5v5 TBD – Substitutions in between rounds only
8 Team Bracket (3 rounds)

Map Pool:
All Official TBD Maps

Registration:
May 19, 2010 - Max Player Reached

Registration is limited to the first 48 people to apply.

Keep in mind, if you sign up, you must play for the team that you are selected by and you must attend the match.

I, <insert you name>, want to play in the Draft. I will play for whatever team I am picked by and I will make it my effort to show up to the scheduled matches.

Feel free to ask to become a captain. It is not guaranteed that you will become one because we will pick the 8 most active and trustworthy applicants.

Teams and Drafting:
-8 Captains will be selected
-They will take turns picking their team from the player pool
-The draft will take place on this thread
-Captains picks must be posted within 2 minutes of the previous pick
-Any captains who does not post in time or does not show will loose his pick; they will receive players that are not picked at the end
-Teams will consist of 6 players, including the captain

Schedule:
The start date is a little tentative, because it this cannot begin until we have 40 players and 8 captains signed up

June 13, 2010 - We will split the teams into two groups. The 1st and 2nd seeded teams will play each other respectively in the corresponding group.

Each round is a BO3 and the finals will be BO5

The point to FFL is to save altitude, so we are going to create events that the people want, and importantly that are convenient for the people. Each week, a team will only be playing for 30-60 minutes depending on how long the matches run.

So each team has 6 players. What if two of those players don't show up? Will the team have to play 4v5? Wouldn't it be safer to have 7 or 8-player teams, or are there not enough people for that?

And why don't you pick the captains a day of two before the draft? Give people time to ask to be a captain instead of automatically putting them up there as a registered captain coughandycough.

Why do you have "tired of op admins" in your advertisement, admin abuse hasn't really been an issue as far as I know.

I don't recall admins doing anything wrong. They monitored the disputes and such, and the tournament ran more or less smoothly.

I would have loved to sign up, I like the idea of a totally random team vs another one but the dates don't fit me

I'll be free after June and I guess a lot of students will do the same (or will not?) after their exams.

Yes he was, agreed...i guess we are all learning, not just how to set events up but giving due respect to those who deserve it. Im pretty sure knowing YorK his intention was harmless enough.

I am really grateful to those who have put their time in to admin and organise events and to all those who will in the future
