Some people seem to be unhappy with this map, but as of yet I have been given a single concrete reason for why the layout of this map is bad.
Somehow I feel that people are just under the impression that this map was made as a joke (it sorta was), and that somehow makes the map uncompetitive. However, just because the map was made for fun doesn't mean that it can't turn out to be good for competition. Please list the reasons for why you think the layout has problems. |

Keep it as like you said in OP no layout reason why its bad people just think its a joke so hate it off first impression.

I think the orange team has a slight advantage in that the orange tunnels lie along the easiest bombing route (the bottom). They do blend in! Perhaps make all tunnels green or red?
Otherwise, I do really like the map. |

Additionally, - and this may be an unusual analogy - this maps forces players to rely heavily upon "open field killing," if I may. There aren't typical "spam" corridors that players can rake up kills in through mindless F tapping.
The plentiful cover throughout the map and numerous routes minimize spam to a great degree, and I think this frustrates many players who cannot adapt. |

I think the cramped nature of the map makes attacking against a good pair of whales all but impossible.
If one guards high, the other low, it's stupidly difficult to get near the base. |

Why is it that your solution revolves around reworking the entire graphics scheme of the pipes and not just changing the color of the orange team?

I finally got around to adding a coherent list of why I don't like Bowser's Castle.
- It's too long. Maybe this is just my imagination, but this map feels way too long given it's linearity and general difficulty to maneuver. Granted, long maps aren't always bad (Look at roids), given the fact that it doesn't feel too tall either makes it somewhat of a problem. - The base is too low. The high bombing route feels absolutely pointless because lobs from the top are easily blocked and the "dive" down to the base is an utter deathtrap. This isn't to say it doesn't happen, but most successful pushes are made by a team going low-mid. Given the length of the map, making the top feel "off limits" isn't a good idea I think. However, the very center of the map forces you to go high or die a horrible death. Forcing a single bomb route because of obstacles is just bad map design. Which brings us to.... - Useless obstacles. The reason I said you have to go high for the mid in the last complaint are because a lot of the obstacles on the map feel absolutely purposeless for the sake of cover and only seem to be there to herd you into bomber spam or being an easy 1-shot kill for an explodet. Examples of said objects include every wrecking ball on the map and a few of the bricks lying around. Potential fixes: I think that cleaning up some of the excess clutter to open more running paths and raising the bases would go a long way. Also, while it completely changes the flow of the map, I think it would play better as a neutral due to it's length. |

It's early and i'm about to leave for work, i'll edit later but Bowsers castle are amongst my favoured maps with any plane setup.

I used to hate this map but after playing it a bit I have come around, and if you don't think there is any abusability to the high route you haven't tried playing against ingbo on this map.

To be honest, I love this map. I wouldn't change a single thing about it, save possibly making the teams red and green like elixir suggested. In my opinion, we should make it official as well, along with scrapyard.

Think its a great map tbh probably one of my favourites.
If anything Id say that there are a bit too many small stuff (round spike balls and stuff) in the mid section. Like playing against thermos on it is suuuuuch a bitch, other than that its awesome and a fun map |

also i love bowserscastle, the graphics really pop and the map itself is a nice change from every single other HURR SPAM DUR CHOKEPOINT WITCHUR GERNADES AND YUR EXPLODET MISSULES THIS IS FUN |

This is hands down the best map ever made. Kudos to the genius map maker as well as to his cousins (if he has any).
