Default 4fps + No control = fml

Once every fifteen hours or so of game play, the following will happen:

1. I will be playing Altitude on a server. It doesn't matter which one.

2. I will lose control of my plane, meaning that pushing the keyboard keys doesn't do anything.

3. I will see everything in what looks like 4 frames-per-second.

4. When I push any key on the keyboard, the game makes some sort of weird sound that I can't describe.

5. At this point, one of two things can occur:

A. The game goes back to normal after a few seconds / minutes.

B. The game doesn't go back to normal, and I have to restart my
computer to exit the program and reboot.

I use an Intel Macbook, fyi. Thanks for any help.

Please submit a bug report (F1 to open console, reportBug, submit) with a description pointing to this thread and I'll take a look.

The behavior you've described is consistent with a background process consuming all processing power; is there any chance a scheduled task (automatic backup, anti-virus scan, etc) is running in the background when the performance drops?

Yes, that is very possible. Thanks for the quick reply.
