FFL Playoffs!

Week 4 will no longer be played due to a unanimous decision across the leaders and captains of each clan. Therefore, a double elimination tournament will take place with the seedings based on the current standings of FFL with some adjustments based on games remaining.

The double elimination tournament will be split up into two weeks because there is a possibility that a team could play 6 total games.

Matches will be played on a veto system and will be BO5

Finals will be BO7

FFL Server 1

1. C: IL vs FU - 5pm GMT-1pm EST

2. A: KLF* Stars vs KLF - 6pm GMT-2pm EST

3. D: fLb vs winner of A - 7pm GMT-3pm EST

4. Loser of E vs Loser of A - 8pm GMT-4pm EST

5. F: Winner of D vs Winner of E - 9pm GMT- 5pm EST

FFL Server 2

1. B: Bong's vs Blood - 5pm GMT-1pm EST

2. Loser of C vs loser of B - 6pm GMT - 2pm EST

3. E: Winner of B vs Winner of C - 7pm GMT - 3pm EST

4. Loser of D vs winner between C/B - 8pm GMT - 4pm EST

Map Pool for August 8, 2010: Cave, Mayhem, Focus, Heights, Lostcity

Maps will be chosen based on a veto system

The team who vetoes first is the team higher on the bracket

The rankings are the numbers next to their name, higher ranks get higher seeding.

The remaining games were melted down into raw points; 1 point each. Leaving you all with 4 and FU with 6.

If we played it in one day, the finals would be played at 11pm GMT and the finals are BO7. I don't think teams want to play/watch games from 5pm GMT to 11pm GMT.

that many matches, can be squeezed down to one day, and finals are bo5, as the rest of the matches are bo3

I want to object to RIP being left out.

We forfeited one game and could not play another game when the servers was down. That is not a good reason to shut us out of the playoffs.

You havent won a game the playoffs isn't for everybody who wants to be there, its for who deserves to be there.

For RIP that is not true. Hero (or anyone else from RIP) has not been part of any decision and therefore it can hardly be unanimous.

If the statement had been something like:
"Some of the captains agree that the top 6 teams as of now should play the playoffs and this is what will happen"
Then i would not mind

In this tournament we only had the opposing teams show up for 4 matches (of which we had to forfeit one and the three others we lost). Not much of a tournament in my opinion.

It's a pity to see RIP being handled this way. Although they're still learning to play - but guys proved consistency of their clan back in the APL 3, when they showed up to every single match they had to play (which is actually an extraordinary sign for a relatively new clan). In the FFL they also showed their will to play and although the quality of the game is not always on the possible top - RIP definitely deserves some more play time. At least they can assure (by their doings) they will come and play their match.

simple solution: put bongs into E and make BloodBrothers play vs RIP in the B match.

FLB vs. KLF

interesting rematch, KLF didnt show, and the match before that, KLF upset FLB... it will be different this time, as fLb is looking to go undefeated the whole tournament... bo5? KLF might get 1 round, and put up a good fight... 3-1 FLB

IL vs Bong's is hard... the loser will probably play KLF in the bottom bracket... I hope to see IL have a good run as it is their last as a team, or captain FLIGHT... i say bong's win 3-2... but i feel like Whoever wins this match, will lose in the bottom bracket...

KLF in the bottom bracket vs. IL or bongs is hard to predict. If KLF can bring their A-game, i think they can win and get a rematch at FLB... but i see Bong's going the whole way...

Bongs 3-2 IL
FLB - 3 - 1 Bong's

Bottom Bracket:
KLF vs. IL - KLF wins 3-2 CLOSE GAME cant wait to see

FLB has to win 1 series out of 2, and bongs has to win 2 straight bo7's
sorry, even if fLb somehow loses, they will win 2 straight bo7's, as they have won 2 before, ACE won 1, sammiche's won 1, in history

It's sad to see IL lose their captain, and i hope the team will go under a new captain with a new attitude, and KLF... im sorry your losing clasicalled, but KLF is the most loyal team i see... they have potential if they get their A-GAME a

I am sorry RIP I did not truly get confirmation from you but all the other clans told me to go with it. Even if there wasn't agreement I would have had to have the majority rule. The only reason why RIP isn't in it is due to not having won a game.

That sounds fair. We did lose all our games and i do think that is a (very) valid reason to not put us in the Playoffs. That settles it for me. Thanks for your answer.
