Area51 is a project brought by Tomato and Tote at the end of summer 10' which firstly consisted in a grouping of some friendly players from ## and DW. Our goal was (and still is) to progressively find our place in TBD competitions while having fun in friendly scrims and practises with other clans.

Clan history

APL4: Lost the first round of playoffs to Sammies (3-0) and IL (3-1). Ended at the 8th place.
Pwned: Ended at the 5th place, beating FRO (3-1)
APL5: Lost to FRO for 2-0 and ended our best APL at the 6th place.
APL6: Ended at the 6th place. Lost to FRO (again) 3-1.

Im not the one to answer to this of course, but tomato is away and ur a guy we love so u deserve all our attention - im sure Tomato agrees on this.
Have to say, i honestly dont know the real reason.
## was a good group. But fact is it wasnt working. People not showing for scheduled training or league games, kills any possible fun plans.
A lot had to change. Changing the name was something that was over the table, because ## and DU UT DES means nothing to most of us. And people need to identify somehow to the tag they represent - at least i wish that helps the difficult task of gathering people we dont realy know in the right place at the right moment.
As putting most of the team away is a very hard move to make i understand Toms decision as wise.
We needed a "blood transfusion". As we now have Tote as leader, we have 2 harts pumping.
A new group from scratch, now that we all have more experience, will sure work better.

I realy hope this never hapens, because IL is one team i do respect, but if it comes to an end, its my opinion that you would fit like a glove in what i think a good group of alti players should be. You would be very welcome to join us.

Hey clanmates, first at all i wish good luck for us, good games and blahblahblah.

With no doubt i can say that our clan get top as fast as APL appears. Half of team is ## ex members, but for me and others, we should play scrims alot to get perfect teamwork.

Im new at game, and I hope, that I can help my team win.

Abt Fluffy. I think he is a good player, and im sure, that he should be in team. I played with him alot before 51, and just 10 minutes ago we end miniscrim with BB, and he show himself as player with teamplay skills.

Just to let you know watch out if he gets even A LITTLE pissed / unhappy / bored he will leave your team at mid of a playoff game and leave you to play 5 v 3...

I added most of u to friends, im so happy bout this and i want to warn u, that if u see me online, be sure, i call u at scrim with someone.

Second. I hope, everyone wants to play with 200% effectiveness and some sort of voice chat can help alot. There r lot of them, just for example, mumble, teamspeak, ventrillo and as worst variant skype. So first at all my question to Tote and Mandrad. Which of them r u plannin to use? Say me "shut up, trendy", if i asking too much

I've got mumble and skype, but could easily use any of the aforementioned programs if you want.

Also, I'm going on vacation for like 10 days after today, so if you don't see me around as much, that's why.

I dont like skype not only becoz of high ping. In battle we dont have time to cut game and call.Before battle we make chat with 5 or 6 person. But someone lost connection. Leader must left the game and call that person. As result we have 2 players, one of them calling and second one is answering. Half of team dont playing and give enemies huge advantage. Other programs have auto-reconnect function.
About ping. Long time before altitude I played in other MMO game. I have results of tests, and that can said bout that programs.
Name - Delay/PC resources needed/Stability/Quality of connection in 1 to 5
TS - 1/5/3/2
Vent - 3 on free servers and 4 on paid/4/4 on free servers and 5 on paid/4
Mumble - 5/3/4/4
Skype - 3/1/3/5

For me, best choice is mumble, but we can try any variant, like skype.

Ok tomato asked me to help out with tactics and such so i will organize a schedule for practice and 5v5 skirmish on saturdays around the time thats best for you. So write what time you prefer and we will organize it around whats best for all.
