Donate to Server Fund - Interest gathering

Hey, basically I think everyone is getting fairly frustrated over speccing space and the like. Given our servers are hosted by Phong (with our gratitude) it takes some time to move around settings and the like.

I was wondering if people would be willing to pitch a few bucks every so often so that during league times I could run a VPS that could host a bigger server for games that spectators want to see. I will have some income coming in so that I can pay for some of it.

If there is interest I am planning to run a donation button through google checkout as I hate paypal and they stole money for me while locking my account... If someone wants to run it through paypal and that is community favored by all means. Checkout is limited in that there is no paypal to paypal transfer

Initially I will be looking to stress test certain VPS's to get the best deal and setup.


But this all depends on if the community even wants this.

in my opinion the dollar a slot thing is quite overpriced, but they are running a business so...
I will likely only run it in the month of big leagues, big tourneys, or big show matches.

I think a dollar for the month you want a slot is something that can be arranged, not to say it means there won't be slots for those who don't pay but a sort of donators privilege.

Admins will be given to event handlers. I.E. for proleague to evil ect.
However if abuse occurs (.e.g danielle is kicked so someone can have her spot after donating) then that can affect who gets admin.

Also server costs are per month >_>
