Brackets were randomized with the ensured specifications preventing tvo and AH from being prelims.
Rules 1. Each match will be 15 minutes long 2. There is a mercy rule of 8 goals - meaning if a team has an 8 goal lead at any point, they win. 3. The substitution rule will remain the same 4. If there is a tie score at the end, the next goal wins. Restart the map to play the sudden death round. Last edited by Wok3N^; 01-16-2011 at 01:36 AM. |

I want to add that I strongly advise teams to not dilly-dally before a match starts and to get the games going as quickly as possible. The matches will be longer than the average ball game however the tournament will be quick if there are no hold ups.

The Air - Arr match was 9-1 for Arr, mercy rule, not 9-3.

I would like a confirmation on in-game substitutions. It seems only meant to cover disconnections in the rules, yet apparently some people used it once as a real substitution between 2 online players last week. So I wonder if the rule has changed or is only applicable if a player drops.
Edit: Also, if you could set a longer warm-up on the servers, it would be much appreciated by those of us with a last millenium computer. My French math says that "screenshot + me jumping on the mercy rule = non toi !". Last edited by Sunaku; 01-17-2011 at 10:58 PM. |

The substitution can be made at any time for any reason as long as it is the first and only substitution of that game.
I will talk to Mike to see if he can increase the warm-up time from now on. |

ya for the first two weeks i thought you could only sub in on a DC, but after seeing other teams do it {ball} used it in 2 (i think) matche this week

Yes I can see how the rule may be misleading. It is meant to be there to prevent 5v6's due to disconnects but it does not prevent any subs.

I loved the 15 minute matches, it makes it really intense. Can we do it again next week?

if you use the sub strategically then get hit with a disconnect, thats a risk you take.
