I like the look, but can you not just do one massive shot from the bottom centre of the map?

Unless it was designed like this. I guess having something which acts a stepping stone from football is actually a good idea.

Rib, he said it was like football. So yes you can make long shots it's just a little more interesting than football.

Mandrad, it looks pretty cool I think I will enjoy playing it. I have a question for you, 1 I always drool over your graphics (almost all of them) and I was just wondering what you use? PS, AI, what?

@Ribilla - yes long shots are possible. I dont like it but... I dont know if u can do it from the bottom, but you sure can from the top.
@Nikon - I usualy start with Coreldraw to define all the layout. I create all vector objects then export them to .AI -> then open them in Photoshop and do the backgrounds/coloring/...
This was the 1st time that no Corel. I did it at home and i only have illustrator here. i did the blended elipses then photoshop.

Power-ups are really hard to see. That's really my only complaint. I think the map works and it's definitely football-esque as you mentioned. The odd spawns take a little getting used to, but it's fun to spice it up with difference from time to time.

nuff' said!!!

Well... not really, I have a couple more things to say. Maybe is the fact that the map is smaller near the goals, maybe it's the positioning of those powerup/spawn orbs but the map doesn't play nothing like ball_football imo.

I 1st tried it against some bots, and I though it was too open, but then I tried a 6v6 game and it was awesome. Here are some points I think make this map good.
  • The action happens pretty much in the middle of the map, with attacks driven by pushes (hence why I say it's nothing like ball football)
  • The top spawns still let part of the team start fast enough to attack or defend quickly while the bottom spawn makes sure the bottom route is not overused
  • The existence of team powerups only make it harder for attackers, and that compensates a lot for the lack of obstacles directly in front of the goal

I think that's it. If I think of anything else, I'll post it here.

Ii mentioned football due the lack of objects only - this isnt a straight ahead football alike play.

Glad people like it

I will fix powerups if we get to the conclusion this worths it.

Good map, but after playing it a bit more, it tends to have VERY long games. 18 minutes long was our last game. I think maybe making the goals a bit bigger will make it not last as long.

But it is a very fun map, and nice graphics again, good job mandrad.

That's true, as the screenshot I published shows, that game was 15 minutes and the one with nikon 18. Although those games were good, I guess a map where a standard game takes 15 or more minutes may not be ideal, so I would suggest some way to make it a little harder to defend.

Wow!!!! Had no idea!!!! Definetely, for now, bigger goals.
Tx a lot for reply

EDIT: Updated and uploaded. Goals are now bigger and powerups over layer more transparent. Maybe both transformations should be increased!? Please tell me about it. Tx again

I think you should roll back this update. I never though the small difference in goal sizes would matter that much, but with big goals this map is ball_football all over again. Games are very short now, there's no point in trying to defend as the map is too open and scoring is too easy.
