Coloseeum is a shining example of what NOT to do with a map. The bomb running routes are so skewed and unbalanced it isn't even funny.

I have a problem with maps like assembly where you gain a serious advantage by doing /parall false.

I think tbd_volcano has a lot of potential. Something that I think would be kind of cool would be to have the smoke in the middle be a little thicker. Think like cloud cover but not 100% like the clouds in hills. Just enough so that you can still see planes in the smoke but they're not in plain sight. It'd add a bit of cool variety to the map pool imo.

Volcano layout is by far the least terrible but I would like to see it overhauled graphically.

tbd_tron - great map; a bit to many turrets

tbd_skullisland - i had no problems with it; ceiling is auto death

tbd_colosseum - piss off

tbd_poseidon - sucks; i hated everything about it

tbd_volcano - sweet stuff; the 3d looking effect hurts my eyes

tbd_chess - sweet; is this not official yet?

tbd_assembly - i hate the double spawn; 2 bombs is bad no matter how you look at it

Best graphics award: tbd_poseidon

Worst map ever: tbd_poseidon

The only one I liked layout wise was Origami park and maybe Tron.

A lot of the maps have the spawns way too far above the base.

EDIT: Chess is nice, but everyone already knows that

I actually enjoyed hivepark and origamipark.
Hated poseidon but who didn't.
Tron was okay.
Did not like collesium at all. The whole layout wasn't my favorite.

The general feedback I've gotten for tron so far is that the turrets need to be reworked and the background should parallax. Anything else anyone's noticed?

I've tested that map with a few people and I'd really like to play it more once turrets are re-done. The whole game felt like it was just "kill the turret" and there was no real game play because of it.

Good thing we got a brand new map testing server with website for these kind of discussions.

Origami: seems too crowded
Tron: background doesn't really fit the map
Poseidon: locomotion 3.0 please rework layout or discard altogether
Chess: the middle pieces could be moved apart for more room in between
Assembly: the aspect of two bombs spawning at once is interesting, but the spawns become more and more offset as the game goes on

It's too difficult when the turrets are up and far far too easy to attack when they are down, you need to take away some turrets, but make the layout easier to to defend (bigger map?)

Making it bigger (keeping its proportions) its an easy change. Changes to the actual format are possible but limited by hezagons ofc.
U mention the big role of turrets - but that looks fine to me! Its their purpose. Makes them a worthwile goal.

It was absolutely terrible it was impossible to even play the map because of the turrets making pushing a fantasy. I don't want to offend you if you made it but it was by far the least enjoyable experience altitude wise I had all that day. Only map that is even close to good enough for ladder is chess, maybe assembly but I personally didn't enjoy that map much at all perhaps someone else did.

If you ask for constructive criticism, but don't listen (CHANGE THE TURRETS), don't expect valuable feedback.

Is there anything wrong with a map having the takedown of some turrets as a mandatory 1st goal? - Ofc not.
Are the turrets incredibly difficult to take? - I dont think so.
The walls are very thin. Nades make damage. Bombs make damage.

@ Kuja - You dont offend me. I can separate the waters.
Still, i expected more from ur knowhow. If the problem is the turrets; Should they be fewer? Less strong? Access? Space in front of them?

@Ribilla - I did read and i answered, what did u expected? - its my opinion, im not saying ur wrong.

without seeing the map - if a miranda can bomb the base with all turrets up, and no enemies, then i think the turrets are fine
