Introducing HYDRO

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Download
It's on the test server now.
Size: 3700 x 1400
The white transparent 'sea spray' is non-collisional.
Any suggestions appreciated :]
Updates:
~~~~~~~~~
V1: ~ See V1 Here ~
~~~~~~~~~
V2: [CURRENT] Removed some obstacles, so it's not so cluttered. Added supporting wedges around the goal. Removed Bottom team power up. Changed Background so it's not so blurry and fits better with the theme. Changed the colour of the obstacles so they look a bit more like rocks with the sea pounding against them. Added custom goals (hopefully they look like broken up trees washed up).
~~~~~~~~~

Planned changes:
~~~~~~~~~
~ Fine tune all of the collision paths around objects, especially curves ~ ball bounces funny off of some of the gradual slopes at the moment.
~ Adjust the parallax 'sea spray' just out side red spawn ~ I missed a bit. ^^
Kudos for all these maps your making Sol!
I do think the map looks a little to blurry. Are the edges of the obstacles collidable?
Yeah nice job on putting out so many maps, you're almost putting out as many as polio and I were
Ajuk, since I see that the opacity isn't %100 on those borders, I'm assuming it's like labyrinth and it's just a border and not colidable.
Thanks, hopefully I'll get better at it over time. You might be right about it being a bit blurry, I blurred the background right up, but it might be overkill. I'll look into changing that when I do the next update.
I rushed my first post but I was going to say that. Yeah the transparent 'sea spray' is just parallax and is non-collidable.
I'm a new player (6 months now) so I hadn't heard of doodle, I just looked it up. That was a 4000px wide map :O Mine is about 3600px wide (not including side graphics - just the playing area) So a bit smaller, and about the same width as grotto and asteroids I think.
Yep all mine go up on the test server straight away. Despite needing work done to them, it's the best way to get people's opinion I find.
Thanks man, it's keeping me busy and entertained! Plus I do feel that there aren't enough maps out there. After an hour or two of playing ball it seems like I've played each map a zillion times!
two things after a play through:
i might recommend removing the two objects below the team ball spawns...they kind of crowd the place
also, the background...is weird. idk how else to describe it. i can't tell if it's actually a nuisance or just very different, but i'm not sure an intentionally blurry background is the right direction.
otherwise i like it
imo
Totally on the ball elxir! I have already removed those two objects (last night in fact) and put one central object in their place.
And yes you are again totally right about the background it is weird I think I blurred it waaaay too much, it's on my to do list.
What do you guys think about custom goals? I had a few comments from decimal (which has metallic goal graphic parallax over the goals) where people found it a bit odd. Your input is,as always, appreciated :]
Ok guys I plan on fixing Hydro up a bit tomorrow (fine tuning corners & sorting out that bit of parallax, maybe changing/lowering the bumps at the bottom).
It's been on the test server a while now, any other suggestions?
