Yeah, it was a very fun game. Sadly, we didn't win. *sigh* But good play by gammel.
I want to thank GGQ for hosting the game and making the night and day posts so interesting to read. |

Yeah GGQ, I really like the way you ran this, kept everything moving and made decent posts, if you decide to do more forum mafia count me in.

gg. Well played gammel. Well played.
So with your me and massi dream, was that just a lucky guess? Also, your role claim was great. |

We had pretty much landed on Massi and Selfish as corp early on. WP by my maf team, especially andy. Took a chance with the claim, figured I would at least get one mislynch out of it. When both Massi and Selfish turned out to be corp, we were pretty much made.
I hope GGQ has the stamina and iron will needed to do something similar again. If he does, I'm definitely /in. My impression is this game was fun for just about everyone. |

GEEEGEEEE. Oh well, I guess I should've spotted the role check thing but I didn't really think of it as a role check. I'm not really sure how I messed up gammel's power or kept people alive (other than SSD and Spart), guess I'll have to go through the logs or whatever. Really well run game GGQ. I think we could have won this if the police had actually played (and if we had lynched gammel on last day obvi but prem went after me). We did a pretty good job though, King was mayor and we lynched scum almost every day.
Oh also I guess itsk to edit now; I had no idea I'd show up as corp to alignment checks lol. Last edited by Dark_Sage; 09-25-2011 at 03:53 PM. |

Ugh, sorry guys, I read my play and realized i played pretty bad. But I did call 5 out of 6 scum, so that's at least something.
Thanks so much GGQ. I'm in for the next one. |

gammel played really well and his role claim was perfect. we would have won handily if all our police wasn't modkilled i think.

The modkill on the police was bad yeah, but the police weren't all that important besides their role in the Black Market (one out of the five investigation roles, albeit the most powerful one, and a jailer, pretty much). The Black Market flopping was the most disappointing thing about this game for me, btw... sadface.jpg
But for balance, I think having the landmine explode on Kennedy and evilarsenal, killing two scum without wasting any town roles and leaving four confirmed townies more than balanced out the loss of the police. I didn't mention this before because I didn't want players to go and look it up, but I took the general set-up and a number of the roles (somewhat modified) from Insane 2 in the teamliquid mafia forums by LSB. So special thanks to him for giving me permission to use it. In that game the police commissioner became mayor and bought a number of RPGs on the Black Market. He was supposed to use two to kill a corporation member, after which town would have probably ended up with a couple of lynches to find the last corporation member. But the mayor forgot to send the PM and he got killed and the Corporation won the Black Market and got the RPGs and used them for a couple of free kills. GG I asked Kennedy in PM after he died how he got the bodyguards. I deleted it because my inbox got full at one point, but it basically came down to eliminating people who claimed and people who actively doubted/opposed Ribilla. Then he looked for players who posted confidently and without fear, because they knew Ribilla would never let them be lynched. And that is how you play mafia . Thanks for all the kind words, folks, I had a good time running the game. It was amusing. |

I'm only interested in hosting games of 30+, and it was difficult enough filling up this one. Unless other people who weren't in this game express interest, I won't be doing another one anytime soon.

I forgot to mention that the neutral role I planned for the game but ended up cutting out was the Poor College Student, whose broke ass has been volunteering to be a test subject for scientific experiments. He feels a little weird from all the medications and chemicals going through his system and has a weird urge to bite people. He can bite one person every other night. He doesn't know his win condition.
When he or someone he bit dies, they come back as a zombie, a fourth party that tries to bite everyone and wins when when everyone is a zombie. lol. |

Say, at all the item gamers. How did you like it? From an outside viewpoint, I was pretty confused at what happened to the items and whether they were used at all.

i thought it was pretty interesting, although i didn't know i would be giving up a normal power role to do it. it obviously turned out well for us giving us a huge number of 100% clears, but if we were to have a similar game i think i'd opt out this time.
