Much better imo, tho the the layout colors don't seem to fit with the background but It could be a different feeling when actually playing the map.

So out of all three maps recently uploaded to Dojo (Reef, Coal, Desolate), while Reef takes the case for colors and design (I'm a bit biased being a Marine Biologist), this takes it for layout.

1) The layout is superb. Not enough open spaces to do long shots; options at the bottom for movement. As someone mentioned in Dojo tonight (and I do agree with them), it definitely seems you got a good deal of inspiration from planepark: the bottom path shape and open part, the object in front of the goal, etc. Not saying it's a bad thing (there's a reason we all love planepark); just something to consider if you want to differentiate your map or not.

2) Color scheme works

3) Enough space to work good passes and trick shots but not too open for spamming.

Good work Nikon!

Well tomato, I might try, but the main reason I don't make them is because I don't play the game that often. So I don't understand the play to the extent I understand ball, Sorry.

I like this, its reminds me of planepark a lot, but what would happen to it in 1000 years time. All degraded and desolate. Gj nikon.

middle looks a lot like grotto - maps should have distinctively different layouts no matter how pretty they look (also phlegm)

I think I did it in 2 days, total of probably 5-7 hours of hard work.

Ok lets get the ball rolling on feedback from Capt's games we just played

- The colours look awful on the forums, but look great in game. I think the gfx are fine for this one.
- I love the bumps on the bottom edge close to the goal as they bump the ball up the vertical passage.
- Its kind of unorthodox but I would tilt the goals back a bit to make it harder to shoot from the lowest passage
- Was suggested in spec chat that the rock in front of the goal should be moved ever so slightly down to allow long shots.
