Default 1dm Tournament
I think we can all agree that Alti is due for more competition apart from Ladder. SO with that in mind, I was hoping we could do something different for a change.

Many 1dm regulars have been itching for a tournament, so Pac and I have been thinking of a simple 1dm tournament that the Alti community can get behind:

This is just a draft. Everything will be determined by how many people want to participate:

8 Clans/8 Captains
They choose their own members (5 on field. cap is 10)

2 Weeks
-1st Week: brackets of 4. Teams fight to the death blah blah blah i confuse
-2nd Week Playoffs

I have nothing against a random team, but isnt it better to choose ure own team to be a part of this event?

well FAP and Piolets clan may be entering which would mean we will have to find 4 more captains who would be fit for the job (may be more than 4, depending on the amount of people intrested) and i suppose people could pick the team they would like to be on, but we would need to find a way to make it fair for the captains and the other contestents

I don't speak for all of Pilot, but I don't see any reason M-pilot wouldn't be on-board. I have noticed more activity in Pineapples 1dm server than in the past. Lets do it!

If there are enuogh members in FAP that wants to play, then u can count FAP in, otherwise i am in and im sure many other 1dm players are in.

I'd vote for having 1dm only. Having tdm just leads to a killfest, which is not the point of one-life games.

also i propose that the scoring be first to 5 win by 2. that is how we have it setup on pineapples and it makes for good 1life games.

i know it is common now, but it never used to be that way, and like that games can lead on for ages, meaning some people might have to leave (recomend subs btw), especially if there are 3 games.

thats if you look at it from balls perspective,

i get like 10-30 kd in ball ^^

but its a different style of play in 1dm

that is a good point, although keep in mind that that is no different from tbd or ball, which can go on quite long if the teams are well balanced. if an indefinite match time is too much of a problem, then i think the games should go to 8 wins. 5 feels too short to decide the victor when the teams are well matched.

I agree with blarg here!

It is important to give the both teams a chance to win.
Even if the team is good, they can do mistakes and should be able to get the chance to win.

i do like that idea but, that would mean servers would have to be decoded (i think :P ) in order to set up that game rule. i reckon it would be more intresting if we had it for semi-finals and finals?

not sure what you mean by decoded, but the number of games to win is just a normal config option.

oh okay then, i will talk wive kaji about it, but wouldnt it be better for the latter games, so we can get the 1st rounds out of the way and then hope for better more intense games later in the rounds. like football (real life) they have extra time on like world cup finals ect so for this have 10 rounds for the final to make it longer and more fun? ^^
