Hey, sure, we do need more people. I'll put you on our roster then. If you know somebody who doesn't have a team yet, you could invite them as well.

So what time is this starting?

Since class has not posted any updates and this is set for tomorrow, I guess I will try to organize this. But if class checks the forums before the tournament and wants to change anything, go by what he says and not me.

I really have no idea how many teams will show enough tomorrow. Looks like we will have between 3 and 5. Since making a bracket is not too easy without knowing what the turnout will be like, planning to do a round robin where each team plays each other team once.

To speed things up, I have picked the maps to be used for each round. Home team picks the server and the first game mode while the away team picks the second game mode (no option to change servers, again to save time). It will be best of three and the third game mode will only be played if it is 1-1 after two games. Normal league scoring where you get 1 point for each game won and 1 point for each match won.

I will post who plays who each round as well as the maps right before the tournament starts and we know what teams are participating.

Top two teams will play in a best of 5 finals. If necessary, a tie after the round robin will be decided by the same tie breaker rules as APL 10.

Tournament starts at 2PM EST.

I strongly encourage everyone to show up a little early because I expect some teams will need to pick up additional players prior to the start of the tournament.

We will initially gather in a non-password protected server named "Pwned! Tournament 2PM EST Nov 17th"

The lack of thread activity left me under the impression that the tournament would end up pushed back or canceled, so I took on other commitments that may or may not affect my attendance. I should (hopefully) be there for a good portion of it though.

Minor update from what I posted earlier.. away team will pick first game mode and home team will pick second.

Also adding 1DM as a tie breaker mode. If a TDM or TBD match ends in a tie during the round robin continue on to the next game mode (if another to play). If round is tied 1-1 after 3, tie is broken by a BO3 1DM (first team to win two rounds wins game and match). Team size for 1DM will be 6, but if both captains agree it can be played 5v5. Home team picks 1DM map out of the four on the Pwned! servers (asteroids, cave, grotto, and mayhem).

Pwned lobby lists rules and maps to be used for each round. I may or may not update the map right before the tournament starts with the match ups for each round. If I do not I will post them here.
