Happy October everyone!

In honor of my favorite month, I've made a fun, spooky map to fit the season.

I present to you all: ball_scary

All of the ribs are non-collidable, including the ribs of the two middle rib cages. The goals are in the skulls' mouths.

Oyster I very much enjoy the art on your maps and I hope we end up playing them a lot, but can you make it more visually obvious when things are non-collidable? Like very very obvious?

Because this is now going on ladder rotation, I took some time to try this out. As Clam said, the ribs parts are not obvious at all, perhaps the bottom ones may be acceptable since it's almost inevitable that ball is going to fall there at some point and people will notice it's non-collidable eventually but the other ribs are not obvious whatsoever. That and the top route circled. Fix asap.

While at it, change the collision lines in the mouths of the skellies. Currently the the jagged collision lines make the ball bounce away from the goal more often than towards it.

The collision lines should be straight.

I am going to delay scary and ufos a day or two (from having any random chance). I am personally not very worried about confusion over the ribs. People should figure it out very quickly. It is not really any more unclear than some other maps like tbd_heights. Just takes a minute or two on the map to learn.

The collision outlines are definitely sloppy but I didn't see severe issues. Certainly preferable for Oyster to manually do the collision outlines.

Eh.. I just fixed the map myself so I can get the map pool updated today. In the future you really need to manually do the collision outlines.

Updates:
  • Overlapping layer corrections
  • Proper para false view (ribs and webs no longer on game layer)
  • Opened up the ribbed areas so they are more accessible. Was so tight that no one really used them.
