Mango777, this is not a feature, but rather an edge-case scenario in which the printing of the background has no effect on the image buffer and no other buffer-clearing steps are part of the redraw loop because the devs are lazy / suffered emotional trauma as children / did not expect silly map-makers to use transparent backgrounds.
