When Goose told me that he wanted to win APL. When Goose told me that he wanted to build a team to have one more go at the top of the mountain, I didn't know what to think.

Then, during our 3 hour call, when he laid out my altitude career, and all my achievements, the absence of an APL win spoke volumes. He asked me if I wanted future generations of gamers would see this hole in my resume and ask "CCN? That guy who couldn't even win one APL??"

As I broke down into tears, Goose's comforting arms around me, absorbing ths sobs, whispering sweet nothings into my ear he made me a promise. He told me we could do it, he promised me that the team he was putting together could win this, he promised me a chance at redemption. He said to me "CCN, when that final bomb needs to be hit, i'm going to trust you with it, i'm going to put it on your shoulders because you can take it, because you can do this, only someone who's tasted defeat as often as you has lost all the fear of making a mistake - because you have made them all. From dying on the base with the winning bomb, to going 5-24 in a key match. I'll lead you in, and ill trust you to make the right move, you've tried everything else."

Hey there Mango, sorry for the confusion! Let me help try to explain things better here so you understand. The mindset behind our team is that the better defense we have, the more chances it provides for our offense to have successful bomb runs. If you have an outstanding defence like the Sammies in APL 10, then you can afford to not have an offensive powerhouse player like Flight 666 running your bombs, since the other team is going to struggle trying to pound their way through your defense. An offensive force is necessary, but let's be real here.. Every team today in APL has strong offensive talent. Defence does win Championships.

It's nothing personal Douglas, just business. I've always respected you as an individual ever since you were on clan -={8}=-. But as shown by the {ball} vs. {AK} conflict, having some rivalries in this game tends to spice things up and makes for more interesting story lines and intense matches! Vortex 9 was the easy choice to pick as our adversary here, since you guys have fluffy on your roster who was solely responsible for making me lose 200 points in ladder when he went on a 23 game win streak or whatever it was. I look forward to seeing you and your mates on the field of battle.

Ok guys quick heads up. Our roster is basically 99.9% complete* with the recent accquisition of wolf'j'max. He has been around the scene for a long time and knows what needs to be done as a Team for us to Defend our Base, and to blow up the opponents. Also because of this pickup we now have what can technically be confirmed as an international roster. (8 Americans, 1 Canadian, 1 New Yorker, 1 Costa Rican, 1 Mexican, 1 Hong Kong/UK hybrid, and now 1 Dutch) This is always a good thing, because although we all come from different backgrounds and cultures, we are united by one thing: Team Base Defense. Or as they say in wolf'j'max's native tongue: Team Klootzak Defence.

Also you guys might have seen that new clan called Implosion. A wise man once said "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery" However since we are not wise people we henceforth declare that Implosion iz now Mortal Enemies to all things regarding BOOM and our well being as a peaceful, democratic clan of Altitude. Because of this change, team v9 is now upgraded to Neutral status since we feel sorry for PACMAN for losing fluffy to clan of evil-doers and hooligans.

*=possible surprise announcement next week regarding potential final member of BOOM, which will definitely be a game changer and could become a secret weapon for our team, but nothing is finalized yet, this is still all hypothetical, but check back next week just in case its real... thx
