Thumbs up In honor of bLadders Top 3 (aka bladders 3 best betas of beta season 3)!

A new season has begun, but let us not forget those who fought their way through to the very top of the ladder!

Congrats again to Fart, Dyke and Sanis, way to go champs!
As promised here's the one and only LADDER TOP 3 portrait to engrave your achievements into Alti history. Your names and faces (or 2/3 of em at least) will be carried across generations, never shall be forgotten the blood, sweat and tears that ultimately let you claim the title of Altis 3 best ball ladder players (according to the rating system of that time anyways).

Epic speech of pathos asides tho, I really hope you guys like this one... what started out as a simple idea of drawing a lil homage to your person in the form of alti planes with cool faces turned into THIS - but I don't think I regret. At all, in fact. Maybe I would've considered harder if I had known beforehand how much work it'd be... buuuut looking at the final result... idk guys, you tell me. Was it worth it?

Imo - yes, yes it was. :'>

P.S. Bonus points for whoever gets what the other bg fillers next to the plane perks actually are~

P.P.S. congraz to rank #2 dyke! gj buddy

P.P.P.S. Link to somewhat higher res: http://i.imgur.com/4FTstDy.jpg

Second post! I'm trying to follow in Dykes footsteps. He's my role model. Good job Amara.

Default Awesome

woah, SO COOL!

You've really outdone yourself my friend this time.
I seriously hope you're kidding with the whole regret thing, don't be ridiculous, this looks way too awesome as something to be remembered by.
You can consider me jealous not to be on there :P

At least i know what you've been working on this whole time.

Keep up the good work, we all appreciate it. Hope everyone is as impressed by this as i am.

And of course, congrats to the lucky 3. GG and best of luck in this season.

Awesome pic amara!

Fart kinda looks like a villain from a late 80s/ early 90s cartoon!

Aren't the logos in the back the logos for certain air forces?

I think the middle one is US and the one on the right is British? idk I'm bad at this...

Btw looks slick as hell. Awesome stuff!

The one in the center is the US Air Force Symbol, the one on the right is the roundel used on US aircrafts. I'm not sure which is the one on the left. It's Dyke's anyway, irrelevant.

Edit: It seems Dyke's is Swedens roundel.

Haha the way I look is rather funny, beautiful artwork and style for the whole thing.

Never thought i'd see something fit so well with alti, but you've done it.

Also not sure if I'm worthy enough of your time senpai but this is definitely on the worth side of things, great job!

Being #4 really stings right now..
AAnyways..
Amazing work Amara, this sort of production coming out of the Alti community is the last thing I expected with the way things been going, and you keep dishing out stuff that will help me reminisce about the game long after we all move on. I'll be saving this just like the other works you've done.

Especially yours, Moon.... I could run on this alone for weeks *sniff* ;__;
Just give it your all this season, I'd be more than happy to create a portrait in your honor as well.

1 1/2 bonus points to wolf'j'max and all 3 bonus points to Slender, you got that right! At first I tried incorporating flags into the bg as they're also part of the ladder rank viewing experience on the website, however, two US flags next to each other proved to look a little hard on the composition and eyes. (My eyes at least. Any true America loving American knows that I'm spouting absolute nonsense ofc. USA USA USA)

First off, thank you lots, my dear~
And second, no you do not look rather funny. You look rather awesome. In fact, you look rather amazing.
I spent way too much time constructing your portrait from scratch as I didn't have one definite ref pic with you in the pose I needed for the portrait.
So I just gathered everything my online stalker skillz could dig up, went from there - et voilą - in the end I'd gotten as far as redrawing you 4 times, man. 4 times.
And by the 4th time it was a masterpiece. So don't you even "rather funny" me, I ain't havin that!

And if by "rather funny" you meant the outfit then I still disagree:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Kingsford_Smith
I find Charles Kingsford Smith to be a rather suave and charismatic chap. In fact, the coolest ref model out of all 3 if you ask me!

On a more serious note thoug, I do hope you like your part of the portrait. Should've probably asked if you could provide a fitting ref pic but I just couldn't see myself doing that
(guess I'm still a little shy “w` )

Why thank you, Karl! The perks come straight from your press image kit, too!
please don't sue me

Can I perhaps ask you what you think of my randas?
I'll admit that spatiality is one of my weaker spots and drawing these sleek warpers in various angles proved to be rather challenging, nonetheless I hope I managed to make em look as badass as you guys must've envisioned them to be *~“▽`~*
The concept art featured in said press image kit also helped me a little with the design, quite impressive stuff in that folder btw!

I was going to ask, if you had asked them for reference pictures, but you just e-stalked them instead? Nice going yo, that's real dedication right there :>

They are very well done, I'm glad someone is getting use out of the press kit, lol.

Naaa dude, Sanis was the only one I stalked hard for pix xD
I asked Dyke for a specific ref pose (which is probs the reason he turned out so fabulous) and since Fart opted for keeping his anonymity I didn't have to worry bout his part much.

Thank you! So glad to get your blessings on this : D
Also, did you guys do the concept art or did you hire an artist for that? Its really interesting to see the various other designs the planes couldve had...

I wish they could make "texture pack" things... I want to see different user-created designs.
