Default How to make a successful clan

I was wondering how clans such as flb, ace, eX, jc....etc
became a successful and large clan.

So, i wish some of the leaders of each successful clan can tell great tips of becoming famous, successful and well known.

Hope this thread can help some new clan leaders to improve their clan so that their clan wouldn't be rubbish.

well

A good clan doesn't mean you have to be the best player to start a clan

I started a clan in counterstrike and a simple network of connections and past teams, and my experience lead me to a very good team. I currently have 8 professional players on my team and i am the worst, and since only 5 start, i still start idk how

But you need experience

You either need to be good and make a good team ! (a good team is different than 5 good players) or you need to have connections GL

Oh, and you can just have fun, regardless of winning/losing

Or Cheat...

The most important thing about making a clan is knowing whether you should make one at all. If you just want to muck around with friends and want a 'group' just leave it at that - a social group.

For those who still want to make a team, the best advice I could give is get experience by joining an already good team and seeing how they run things. That is invaluable to know when you want to make your own team. Doesn't have to be altitude, just seeing how good teams are run, in any game.

Be as picky as possible with your recruiting - not necessarily for skill, but for nice, funny, interesting people who you'll get along with, so the clan doesn't dissolve the next week because you're all at each others throats.

And set a good example through leadership.

Yes Beagle, come back to the light! =]

-A clan needs to be made up of people who like playing together because they have similar goals. Some clans are about winning and being the best. Some clans are about hanging out together in a more relaxed way. Some clans are made up of people who all know each other IRL. Some clans are about saying "pro wins" all the time. Some clans are made up of people who are all new to the game. Mixing types within a clan doesn't work out, so as tyr said, recruit wisely. What will bring people to you and make them stick together?

To start a good clan:

1. be good
2. be really good
3. find a few other really good players
4. make people rage over you killing them
5. attract new players

Really all it breaks down to is you need to be good at the game and work as a team, but getting a bunch of good players together is difficult

On other games, I've seen that good clans have their own space to organize and get things done. Coolest one I've seen had a 37S Basecamp account with Milestones for skills and accomplishments. They also schedule a regular practice time and people who don't attend are out.

Good cans are made of good players, by players I don't mean pros, I mean payers who are willing to help their teamates at all costs, copoperating, recruit anyone, they will all gain experience overtime. Does the level or skill level matter? Heck no, again, as I said, they will gain experience overtime. What else makes a clan so succesful? Don't be picky about who you recruit, anybody could become good, overtime. Also don't rush things, concentrate on making your clan a good legit one, and the rest will come, the more you and your clan work/play together the more succesful you might be. Also don't kick people out for stupid reasons, as in not attending a practice, game, schedualed game, etc. you must remember that the players have a life as well, and apparently some old ppl are playing this game as well so they probably have work to attend and students have school to attend to as well.

Lammyboi in all honesty I disagree with everything you just said except the thing about not kicking people for arbitrary reasons.

The one solitary, yet glaring error is what makes it so beautiful. You can sense how serious the sentence is meant to be, and then you just crack up halfway through.
