Plane Emblems

I was wondering about the possibility of adding little customizable emblems to the side or bottom of planes. Whether they be pre-made in game ones or even better yet uploaded images (Id love some Iron Maiden artwork on the side of my splodet). This thought has been in the back of my mind for a few months, finally figured I would make a thread about it.

in a nutshell: it's a difficult problem in 2D but we have some ideas we're going to try out.

custom images that you upload are unlikely to ever happen.

This sounds awesome! I've been babbling about this for a couple days now, so nice to see a thread about it.

I think having set icons will be fine as long as they're all really good choices with personality - a block of kill markings, the famous shark teeth on the nose, animals, card ace symbols, flames, that kind of thing.

Also, maybe it could be worked in that you could input a short abbreviation or a few numbers and it could show up on the plane as well as an alternative/combined emblem?

Yeah, but even a generic set of icons (flames etc.) would still add some personality to the game
