Default More Forum Moderators

These forums are getting out of hand. Trolls like omincron, technician, lammyboi ect are driving the useful posters like Stack, King, Vi ect ect away. There are only two moderators and 285 active posters on this forum. The activity of this forum is increasing while the useful thread/to thread ratio is decreasing (this problem extends to in game as well but that is a separate issue). Two people cant be active 24/7 and this forum goes long periods of time each day with little to no moderation. Community moderators should be brought on to help police this forum when Karl/Lamster are indisposed. Id gladly volunteer to help with this. I love forums and participating in them and given the chance Id also love to help clean them up.

I agree with this idea. Also, I think Kuja is active enough to make a suitable mod. (When do you look at the active users list and NOT see Kuja?)

Agreed. But Beagle does have a tendency to image macro spam.

He's cut it back to the appropreate board now that Karl has been cracking down on the rules.

I wouldn't want to moderate. I hardly read any of the threads, and I'm so glad we have forum subsections that will tell me which threads to ignore.

I would vote for Kuja and some others to have just the power to move threads to the appropriate section and the power to lock threads.

Most of their work: whenever a thread is posted that asks the same question as an existing thread, they would post a link to the previous thread and then lock it. That'd help unclutter the forums, and no one's gonna go on a power trip banning rampage.

I cut it back when I realised people were actually getting upset at me posting images on the internet.

I don't really post them anymore though, there's so many 'lol wut' people to respond to that its just not worth the effort.

Oh yeah, and if you made me a mod it'd be serious mode on and I don't think that's for the best. I would be infractioning/post deleting the crap out of blatant spambots like lammy and omicron until they actually learned how to not be annoying. So if that sounds harsh, I'm definitely not the kind of person to give any power to.

Honestly, I like the funny, Beagle.

Kuja seems to be the most likely candidate imo.

I also wouldn't mind helping out with moderating the forum or the official servers. I don't post much but I'm still here a lot as well

I'd nominate Kuja as long as he doesn't hand out 69 day bands haha.

I would volunteer because I check these a lot, but I wouldn't think it appropriate since I enjoy contributing to the dumb threads and, therefore, receive about 3 infractions an hour on average now haha.

What do these infractions do, by the way?

If they're just meant to be warnings, why is there a period that it lasts before it 'expires'? Is it part of a system where, if I was to recieve a certain amount of unexpired infractions, that would lead to a ban?

I think so. Like when you get 50 of them, you get banned until some expire and you're under the limit again.

I want to start collecting them though. Maybe we can even start trading infractions and make a game out of it haha.

More mods is a good idea. I'm tired of the spam. Also, I want more Altitude features.

I also nominate Kuja for forum president. No one reads more posts than her, period. Dunno where the dirt bag even finds time to play tbh. All successful forums I have taken part in place a few established members into management positions. Kuja alone would make a HUGE impact on these forums. You can't say no to free labor lam. This is like a Harvard Law grad applying for a job at McDonalds, come on. Besides lam, you and whats his name have better things to do. Leave the dirty work to us.

Id like to thank everyone for your support in this matter. Me and Maimer now have moderation privileges in certain sub forums and will be working to make this forum more enjoyable for all.

edit: just to clarify I only listed repeat offenders that in no way was promise to autoban people, just encouragement for those people to shape up.

Gratz! I would've like to mod too, I'm really active. But I have an infraction so that's a no go.
