Default playing altitude without a graphics card

recently my graphics card has been acting up lately. i've tried everything to fix it, from virus scanning, updating graphics card drivers, updating vista, to full out reformatting my hard drive and dusting the insides of my laptop. by now i've accepted that my graphics card is fubar'ed, and i've simply gone to the device manager and disabled my graphics card driver, which makes it so my laptop doesn't freeze randomly.

this is fine and all, since i don't play any graphics intensive games, but this means that i can't run my favorite game, altitude. whenever i click it it just tells me i need to update my video driver.

from my rudimentary knowledge, altitude is a game that uses 2d sprites, so it shouldn't be too graphics intensive. is there any way to play altitude without using my GPU? i would really like to be able to do this; otherwise i'm going to have to buy a new comp

Altitude uses OpenGL which basically requires there to be hardware support with an appropriate driver (I.E. the driver installs OpenGL support).

You could try http://www.mesa3d.org/install.html but I don't know if you'll have any luck... I don't know of any other software OpenGL drivers...
