As I said, Halo all the way, it's the best game ever, it's not like some FPS where you just shoot other people but halo requires strategy, weapons have their pros and cons and you have to decide to use what weapon against what vehicle or enemy. Typical 13 year old halo fanboy, all your points are invalid as an argument as to why halo is the best game. Seriously, what FPS doesn't require strategy at some point?? Oh, and just about every FPS created in the past 10++ years has more than one gun, each with it's own pros/cons.

I don't mind that people like or want to play Halo (although I don't understand why...) I just hate it how they think it has all these unique points that make it stand out. When really it's just an over-hyped generic FPS that has gone on for too long.

Did I play halo? Yeah for a little bit, but I've had to listen to retards go on and on about its greatness for the last few years which is probably the worst thing about it.

I'll admit, Halo CE was a decent game. Not godly, not bad. Just decent.

Halo 2 was milking a dying cow. I couldn't be bothered to get into it seriously enough though.

Halo 3 raped the cow, killed it with a crowbar and salted the corpse.

it's actually easy, but it's easier on xbox, its very simple, start useing the sniper like a battle rifle then you'll get use to using the little corsair. WOW i used the word use too many times.

Operation Flashpoint was released before Halo and is like 200 times better and more advanced.

Operation Flashpoint was and has remained probably the bestest FPS-s!

PS! only thing "highly" advanced about halo was its simplicity. oh and all those fairy tales the advertisement and Hype told you, those things were advanced also, and everytime you played halo, gummybears and rainbow coloured jellybeans started flying out of my ass.

And, for lammyboi so we can end this ridiculous argument - Halo is a great game because of its simplicity, not because its advanced. It is a game that you can pick up and play with a friend for co-op, or with friends for local play, without taking long to get used to it. Its fun and polished - but it most definitely ain't advanced. That's not a bad thing, and trying to argue that it IS advanced just makes you look dumb, so please just accept that as much as you like Halo, it isn't the world's best FPS, RTS, RPG, turn based strategy, flight sim, kart racing game, and dating simulator all at once.

I havent had the chance to try ArmA 2 yet (I don't like the first very much either) but OPF is definitely in my top3 best games ever. This game is just so ... EVERYTHING!

Sadly ArmA 2 has a pretty lackluster campaign like ArmA 1, but the rest of the game is really amazing. I've been playing a lot of the Warfare mode (RTS hybrid) online, really great stuff with 20v20 players, and the new High Command feature is great.

But yeah, its worth going back to OpFlash for me just for the charm and the campaigns - especially the Resistance one, loved that one.

I think any attempt to create an actual unbiased list of 'the best games ever' is pretty pointless. Its about personal opinion, which games you enjoy the most.

Also, I love Cortex Command, that's Indie. I thought I mentioned it, maybe I forgot.
