Default Week 1 Match Previews

A new system of choosing maps has enabled. Teams will be given a week in advance what maps they are going to play. Teams will practice and improve on 3 maps at a time making the edge for competition better. Better teams can be worse on a certain map, and worse teams can get lucky, or be better on a map. With this, we look at the line-up for the first week.

The match of the week is without a doubt, fLbSS vs. Lobstars. fLBSS basically has the same starting line-up. They had trouble in the beginning of season 1, but managed to pull off upsets against their superiors, fLB, and Lobstars. fLbSS played Lobstars in playoffs, and Lobstars came up clutch with revenge. This match-up will be good. Lobstars, changing leadership but also picking up new players such as Triped, Xirri, and Esoteric which are three very good pick-ups, even though I think Lobstars will have a consistent roster. The winner of this match will have an easier path to the playoffs.

Lobstars will play Kings Live Forever Team 2, which includes Wolf’j’max and Alien 2.0 (the players to watch on KLF). Even though Kings Live Forever may have some individual talent, they will need to get very lucky and work together on these maps in order to pull off a victory. Maybe if they practice enough they may clutch it, but I don’t see Lobstars losing possibly.

The whole Kings Live Forever team has expanded into two teams which surprised me. Most new clans deteriorate quickly, but this one spread. I guess their success in scrims made it easy to increase their confidence. KLF team 2 is looking at team Lobstars as well as Altitude Masters, another new team. Altitude Masters is a brand new team. I don’t know any players except Technician from Jester’s Courts first season team. Maybe this team can make a mark in the league and offer some competition to the bigger dogs. We will have to wait, as Altitude Masters and KLF team 2 fight out for a vital season opener. Every victory counts and each match is as important as a match in week 4.

Altitude Masters will also play Freedom Fighter Squadron, which is also another new clan. Altitude Masters have a good chance to start off the season 2-0, if they play correctly but they need to practice and dominate these teams if they want a to see playoffs in the future. Freedom Fighter Squadron will be playing the Fiscal Little Bears team, the third team of the fLb era. Freedom Fighter Squadron isn’t really on the radar. They have not been playing much and may seem to die actually

Going back to the Kings, Kings Live Forever’s main team has Class, Elijah 666, and CCN. They are playing Bong’s Bitches and ****Ing Ninjas. The Ninjas, a playoff contender from last season seems like the same prominent team as last season with a few changes on their roster. Kings Live Forever will live forever if they can manage to down the Ninjas. Bong’s Bitch’s is a match to watch. Both teams want the victory but I think whoever wants it more will go away with a season opener victory.

Bong’s Bitches, a branch from Mile High with Divra and Bong, will need to take down King’s Live Forever. It’s a vital match. They will also be playing the ALL Russian Death Weeds, another new team. With all these new teams, some of them will rise to the top, or they will all kill each other. Death Weeds made the playoffs in Preseason. Can they carry their consistency? Another promising match to watch especially Kilimanjaro from Death Weeds who looks like a promising fragger and leader for his team.

Death Weeds will also be playing Holy War. Another match between two new teams. Both teams need this victory, because it will get harder to get wins. Every team will strive to get into the playoffs. Holy War, who have Firemonkey, Scheherazade, TomBrowkah, and Wasteland, look like a promising team, but will they show up to matches and try to get into the playoffs as v3 did last year? We can only wait and watch as all these new teams battle it out. Holy war also got matched up with the Champions of the first season, Faggy Little Bears. A bit unlucky, but it’s not impossible. Bombs hit fLb so if Holy war can take advantage of fLb’s mistakes and catch them offguard, then maybe, but Woods is an automatic win for fLb, so Holy war will have to be strong on the other two maps.

Faggy Little Players have Holy War and Iron Legends on their hit list. The champions will try for another undefeated record, which was scarred by their second team, fLbSS, making it the only loss in 11 games. With new pickups King and Bling, I think fLb will have the same roster as before and dominate most with their setup. The maps will not affect this team. Iron Legends got paired up with Fiscal Little Bears and the Main team, fLB, so maybe Iron Legend, which has many good players can start off with a win, but I think they are good enough to make up for any mistakes for the rest of the season. They can’t sit back though. They will have to work and practice for their wins.

Flying Terrorist Killers, another unknown new team will be playing ACE and ****ing Ninjas. Very unlucky. Probably the unluckiest match-up you can get your first week in APL, but if they can manage even a round, better yet a victory, they can shock the league and change the whole game and the perspective of everyone. Anything’s possible Ladies and Gentlemen.

To finish it, Jester’s Court, with some roster changes, will be playing fLbSS and ACE, another unfortunate match up, but same thing as FTK, if they can pull off a win, they will have an easier path to the playoffs and make a better name for themselves.

Good Luck Everyone

I think you're a bit too diplomatic.

We need numerical predictions.

This optimism is disgusting. Il make my own predictions later, like I did last season, and get down to the unbiased nitty gritty.

ps- the rhyming of our new recruits "king" and "bling" is intentional.
