Default Unresponsive Client Problem

For a while now the 2 Proleague servers I run have had a problem with disconnects. Occasionally the server will just decide that everyone currently in it is an unresponsive client and kick them all. I'm really not sure why this would occur, as the connection is stable, and play seems very normal up until the point that everyone gets dropped from the server.

Here's an example of this occurring:
Code:
INFO [2009-10-24 14:10:56,050] [Thread-9]: Unresponsive client Client[name=Night Hawk, ip=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:62654, playerId=3]; 151 updates written without response

INFO [2009-10-24 14:10:56,082] [Thread-9]: Unresponsive client Client[name=Patchouli!, ip=XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX:27272, playerId=7]; 151 updates written without response

I have a full log and the config files ready if necessary (and the log I have now has this happening around 15 or so minutes after the server restarted).

Are you certain that the connection is stable? Many connections will experience brief blackouts where all packets are dropped which can cause a mass disconnect. One way to test this is to open up a continuous ping to your server (Start -> Run -> cmd -> ping -t <IP>) while you play. If the latency spikes or you get a bunch of dropped packets when the mass disconnect occurs it's almost certainly the internet connection.

Send your log files to support@nimblygames.com and I'll do a quick check for suspicious stuff.

I'm fairly certain its stable because I haven't had any problems with the server outside of running altitude. Its possible that it would experience short spikes like you said, but since its a VPS I don't think its that likely. If you can't find anything weird though I'll probably run some further tests on the connection.

(Logs have been sent now, btw)

i think that maybe there is too much stuff in one server (i have the same problem too) and your computer overheats. try (every hour or so) letting your computer rest for 15 mins or so.

hope i was of assistance (lol)

Its not a home computer, its a VPS, so I highly doubt thats an issue. The CPU load is nominal (like 4% usually), and there is free ram available for it to expand to. So I don't think its a problem of resources. Its either a bug in the server software, or the internet connection it is on is periodically experiencing packet loss.

This how it happens in the proleague servers, all of a sudden I will see a big pause from everyone. Then I'll hit tab and see that everyones pings went straight to about 600-700. Then the mass disconnects happen. It doesn't happen too often, but a weird thing is not everyone will disconnect, mostly everyone but this seems like a bug.
