Default master server list

Somehow... and quite randomly i do not get all my servers listed, and even one specific server hardly shows up at all, 10 manual updates wont show it, and the 11:th will.

And also, im putting in a request for an online user registration, having to create new user on a "playable" client then transfering it thru a vnc client back and forth (pw hash etc.) to finaly get it working, and then waking up to an update that ruins it all again :P (standalone server binary please!)

oh and an editor guide (for the noobs) ......... that would be me

further investigation reveals that my #1 servers will show up 90% of the time, and #2 somewhat the opposite 10%.
and also, the american servers will show up almost instantly upon "update" where my #1 will have a delay on 2-3 seconds and whenever my #2 decides to show up it is always at a delay _more_ than 2-3 seconds.

?
im guessing this is an issue with the master server list is located in the US perhaps? (long response times).

Solution? making the master server have longer "wait" time before it sends the server list to the client or just putting up a secondary master server list in EU?

well master server sends servers back in batches of 100. So you're getting all servers at once since there aren't more than 100.

Once your client gets a batch of servers it starts pinging them and if it doesn't get a response w/in 1 second it throws them away. This is probably where the problem is occurring is that the responses from the server aren't coming back. We're looking into a current potential issue so hopefully this will be fixed next patch.

Also we might show non responding servers on the list again too... it just felt so cluttered and worthless when the list showed non responding servers.

well, a simple ping trace on my targeted server reveals a 100% success rate (10 minutes of constant ping calls) and alt+tab:ing into the client will not show it. And when it does the targeted machine has a ping of 15-25 ms, quite faar from the 1 second limit. By these factors i insist on a bug!

when we played earlier, you moved over to "official" server, i was going to aswell.... just .. that it wouldnt show up at all, no matter how many updates i do.....

i tired to kill both my servers, but no luck. can not/will not show "official server".
still random results on updates.

altitude ships w/ a jvm/jre/java so it doesnt matter what your system does.

are all these sent all at once?, or are they just logged at the same time.
I tried killing the client before the 8000 ms passed, and no record was logged at all... go figure.. heh k back to that bug report!
