the new fastest plane in the game

remote whale is now the fastest plane in the game. when you set out a remote mine and explode it about 0.5 seconds after the release, it propels the plane ahead at a velocity of about 14. try it urself and see if it doesnt need to be nerfed. was this an intentional buff or (hopefully) it wasnt like this the whole time?

note: remote mine whale also pwns at bombing now
note2: try it for urself, just tap 'd' with remote

yea its faster when you hold D even. i'd say its faster but its not always a good thing with the turning ability of a explodet

Yeah depending on the map, it might get you the most crashes award.

and if you want to go for a more extreme approach, assuming that you live. Stall your self, and use Director or Remote Mine rocket, hold F, and fly. The more times you rocket yourself, your speed will increase. But usually will be halted by a wall or obstruction.

Mine jumping off walls has been used to bomb with the explodet since before I started playing (which was a year before the release of the game in beta.) I find it interesting that this maneuver can be done in mid-air now and repeatedly in order to gain substantial speed. However, I think that the remote mine is on the list in the next balance patch so wait for that and see if it changes things.
