Ball Problems

This has happened quite a few times, but this time I got a screenshot (not that it really makes a difference). Basically, what happens is me or someone else goes in to the goal and the ball does the "auto-shoot" to shoot it into the net when your plane has travelled far enough into the goal. However, ever once in a while the ball shoots through the back of the net and no goal is scored. This time, on ball_core, it shot into the geometry behind the goal and was stuck going nuts until it finally faded away and the ball was "lost." Not really sure what is making it shoot through the goal, but I figured it was a bug.

I noticed that it often does pass straight through the goal
also in TBD the bomb is going straight through the base more often

lol. u must have FAST reflexes in order to have caught that.

Yeah, I've seen this happen.

I've also seen the auto-shoot get caught by an opposing team's player waiting inside the net.

Maybe just remove auto-shoot altogether and reward the point without the plane letting go of the ball? Seems like it'd be easy to implement and would solve any issues related to slamdunking in Planeball.

Also there is a bug where you get like 7 goals at once although I'm not sure how it happens. =X

Just to clarify, that ball isn't in motion. It is sitting in one place "inside" the geometry. Many have you may have seen this before with a powerup that gets stuck in a collidable object where it freaks out and shakes violently. In this case the ball sat inside the geometry until it faded away.

Also, mikesol are you joking around or are you serious? I can't tell if you are referring to the Miranda OP ball move or not.

YES. I was a beneficiary of that glitch once. It was freaking great. My team was down 5-1, I killed someone, stole the ball, shot it in, and we won!

Completely serious Maimer. I don't play Randa OP ball move anymore anyway. The 7 goals in one has happened to me 3 games so far (not me but someone in the game).
