Default At what point does ping get unacceptable?

In a league match, when can one team claim that the other is lagging SO much that the game is unplayable (fairly)? I was noticing a couple people on teams that IL was playing tomorrow, and they happened to have about a 350 ping. My ping at the time was about 40. So they were getting a little jumpy, and when this happens, this also happens to the bomb. So when someone tries to block it, it goes right through them. Because the lagging data hasn't reached them yet. So my question is, When can someone claim foul? Because if 2 or 3 people out of 5 can "lag bomb" or shots somehow fly around corners, I think that the game at that point is unfair to the normal team.

I think ping has to be in the 350+ range before it stops being a disadvantage. At that point though **** is so random that it's just crazy.

but really the ONLY advantage of high ping is that people can't catch your bombs... but you also can't catch theirs, dogfighting is much harder, and it's harder to finesse a bomb run so even offense is probably harder overall.

Yeah, I understand what you are getting that, the game gets too crazy in the high pings. But I was wondering if the admins had some sort of rule. Because not only is the match much more frustrating, it also loses the "fun" aspect. So admins, should there be a max ping for players in a league game?

I may be wrong but i think there is a set ping at 400. At least that is what im told however there doesn't appear to be much monitoring going on so idk.

I disagree. As a spiker, I think it's absurdly easy to run a bomb when lagging.

When my pings goes to 350~400 or 999 for few seconds.. i stop and start doing circles with my plane.
My normal ping is 155~188.

My situation is about the sameas Flight

My ping is 150-200 in some servers and 200-300 in others

But it spikes a lot... sometimes to 600, sometimes to 999 and when it does the whole game freezes a few seconds and when the picture moves forward i'm usually already dead and it sucks to play that way.

Spiking and lagging are two different things, don't try and connect 350+ pings to spiking. The ping itself isn't the huge problem, because both parties have to play by it, and I should know. There is nothing I would like more than to be able to play every day with a low ping and not be subject to all of lag's wonderful effects, but I've learned how to play with them a long time ago. I don't spike, however, and spiking is completely unfair and ruins the game flow.

Yeah, spiking is definitely a whole different kettle of fish. I wouldn't even care to hazard a guess as to what effect it has on the outcome of the game apart from saying it makes everyone involved want to kill themselves.

I get 150ish pings in official, 120ish in captains and 150-210 in APL servers. As of now there is no limit for the APL server, although I hope 400 ping limit gets implemented.
