Default The old Altitude
Since now you got a much better game, why don't you make the old one open source or make it (=serverlist) work again? I like the new game alot, but like to play the old one sometimes

Dude i loved the old cave, it was awesome. Required more skill than most other major maps.

I shall revive this thread once again!
Took 2 years this time... but I return with good news.. kinda.

I repacked the client, cleaned it a bit and changed the resource location to point to my server (and not some free webspace).

I also wanna look into getting the serverlist back working but that's rather complicated.

Anyway, here's the downloads including the required version of Java and I added a mappack with all the maps I had as well.

Altitude: 7z (9 MB), zip (13 MB)
Maps: 7z (8.9 MB), zip (13 MB)

If you want to contact me, send me a PM (now that i turned email notifications on, sorry Jesus) or find me on IRC (minus on quakenet and freenode).

Edit: I've set up a server now: selene.mnus.de:27015

Default Mac Compatibility?
I can't seem to get the thing working on my Mac. The SHELL scripts don't seem to be working. This certainly is annoying. Does anyone have a fix for me?

Default Java 1.4+??!?!?
Update: I managed to simply move the stuff into a .command file and it appeared to work until I ran it. It says that I need Java version 1.4+ to run the game.

I have Java version 1.7 for crying out loud! What can I be doing wrong?

Oh yeah, forgot to mention it, the game doesn't run well with Java 5+. That's why i packed the Java 1.4 runtime with it, but it's for windows only unfortunately. Try changing biplanes.cfg's minJava to 1.7, it might just work.
