1v1 Tournament, Invite only.

This is in the early stages and i am working with Bohica to set up a temporary duel server that will house say 20 people.

The server pass will be: demoftw

The format is Invite only picked by myself and CCN, if however you would like to pm either of us in game and put yourself forward to compete please do.

ONLY DEMO PLAYERS WILL COMPETE!

Ok now the best part. The overall winner will be the owner of a brand spanking new PAID account supplied courtesy of KLF. Well done!!.....

I will be updating this thread within the next few days for tourney format e.t.c.

edit: I am aware that probably the majority of users on this forum are paid players but i will be scouting the next few days to rally some competitors. If anyone would like to suggest a demo player to compete please do.

Meh, it was all good until I got to the demo part... Not that it's a bad idea, with the prize and all. But after the APL someone really needs to get on the 1v1 2v2 tourney idea imo.

Why then only demo players? Let it be just demo planes, not players - I think everyone knows a person, to whom present such a prize.

Class was talking about this in a server earlier today. He wants to give a deserving demo player a paid account. Some solid pilots out there toil on with only the demo planes because they're too young to get the game themselves, their parents won't spring for it, etc. etc. It would be kind of pointless to give a paid player another account....

It would be still nice to have a tourney with demo planes, where everyone could participate. I bought the game and will hardly ever fly on a demo version again - but I'd still love to try my loopy skills out

I just like the nature of competition and when a prize is up for grabs people try their hardest.

I see no logic in granting an already paid player with another, this defeats the concept and reason behind it all.

hahaha that was comedy for all in the APL... i didn't buy it for a second. And apparantly vapour id's are traced by tourney admins to prevent players playing in multiple teams.

Yeah i have taken this into account that's why its invite only.

I checked with tec27 all of the members of 2G4U have unique IPs, they are not smurfs. I barely see them around any more though maybe one every 2-3 days.
