D-Day Dec 5th

On Dec 5th Altitude will change as we know it, tons of noobs will come. Some will get good, some will even be korean. However, they will never be the old group.

I would like to just say, we are the oldies, the golden back in my day altitude people. Some more then others (playing game 7 years in beta G_G pwn) but with the new influx the divide is more then ever those before Dec 5th, and those after.

There is still a small community left from old old old altitude, this won't tear us apart in the least. Just a new batch of freshmen to shove into lockers and beat up after school. I have seen countless waves of new players over the years and they have never really stuck. I am interested to see how this one turns out. Mods are sure gonna be busy for a bit that's for sure.

There's still a fair amount of TL people playing the game, not to say we're old, but older than most people playing altitude at the moment.

so im not gonna talk about noobs...

TRUE.. will be hard to play with all the guys from now on..
bigger leagues, more activity etc...

would be good to hv a normal league like premier league or somethin...

TL is TeamLiquid (http://www.teamliquid.net/), which is a Starcraft based website. At some point someone posted the link to Altitude on their message board (I think it was a couple months before the beta ended) and a big influx of players came to the game. However, once the game was released, a lot of those players chose not to purchase the game and so the people to whom he is referring are those that are still here from that initial wave.

Another question I have related to this is how many of the SA people are still around?

I think there was also a mini 2+2 wave of people. A surprising number of people I meet come from there and is also where I discovered a link to this game.

i know that cap games pass was changed from respect privacy, but wut is it now, i have no clue-and dont be hesitant to say, im not a new new person, been playing for 1 year and a half-and am i missing something? y will there be noob floods on dec 5th?

Sharing the Captain's Games password publicly on the forums would defeat the point of the server, as it is meant to keep out all but the more seasoned players. If you want the new password of the server, you should PM Maimer on the forums or talk to him in-game.

We are expecting a whole lot of new players beginning December 5th as that is the release date for the game for a bunch of mega-game-distributors such as Steam.
