The `unofficial` OFFICIAL X/MAS MAP CONTEST!

This is the Unofficial Official Altitude Christmas Map Contest!

Your job is to create a Christmassy Altitude game map! Here are the rules:

1. It CAN be a map that you already made, with some added Christmas cheer!
2. Your name must be somewhere in the map (it can be out of plain site, but we need to be able to see it somewhere.)
3. You MAY submit as many submissions as you like.
4. There are no other rules except nothing bad in the maps, etc. (It can't be Santa Claus naked humping Mrs. Santa Claus)
5. There must be at least 4 screenshots. More is recommended. They must be suffice. If we don't have good screenshots, how on earth can we rate your map?

THE SPOILS (who doesn't love spoils?):

-Your map added to the list of official Altitude game maps!
-A server hosted with your map until New Years!
-A special user title for use in the forums!

THE JUDGES:

-The Administrators / Moderators of Altitude (including the developers!)
-TheCloak (me )

If you want to be a Judge just send me a PM, we can only 3 judges though (the entire Altitude development team counts as one!)

THE FINAL DECISION: Will be made by the fellow members of this community! Once the Judges sort out the good from the bad from the terrible, we will create a whole new thread with our top 3 picks. It will be a polled thread. At the end of 2009 the map with the most amount of votes will win the contest!

NOTE: We will pick the best 3 maps on the 27th of December, leaving you with an entire week to create your map! Any submissions after the 27th will not be accepted! No exceptions!

SIDE NOTE: I did not ask the Altitude game developers for their permission, and if they do not approve of this, then it will be dismantled - although, if they do approve of the idea then we can faithfully go through with it! Administrators, feel free to make any changes you wish!

Side Note I did not ask Bill Gates for his permission, but I'm sure he's up for this. I decided to just go ahead with this and sow confusion and disorder and leave pissed off people in the probable event that Bill Gates doesn't like words being put in his mouth.

If you're talking about the map file then just some file sharing place like megaupload (recommend them). Definitely not RapidShare though - Unless under a collectors account.

And @ Estoric: There's a reason I said if the moderators didn't approve of it they can just go ahead and dismantle the thread. If you don't understand then I'll just stop talking.

I like the idea of the map contest, but I don't see how you can promise to have the map added to the official map list before you talk to the devs or we even see whether it is a good map.

Honestly, I like the idea behind this post, but I think it is generally an attempt of the thread starter to bring attention to himself. Without any real prizes I doubt anyone will make anything anyway.

We need a real map contest that possibly could get multiple people working on projects together.

The map added to official list, is why I said if the devs didn't agree then they can just dismantle the thread. I guess I should've asked first, and no, it's not an idea to bring attention to myself, don't know why anybody would think that.

Since no Administrators have responded to the thread, I'm guessing it's a no. I don't know, I'll just wait for them to reply.

nesnl and PieFace are mods/administrators? Anyway, its generally accepted that you clear your prizes before deciding to offer them. Otherwise, they're not really yours to offer.
