Default Pwned Xmas Tournament Preview

There are some heavy matches in this tournament. I'm not predicting matches but just going over the the matches. Most will be good to watch adn i like forward to this tournament! Thank you classic for organizing it and i'm so glad you let me help you! Good luck everyone

So, we have Invincible Bullets vs. F***ing Ninjas. Invincible Bullets don't have their name up with the bigger clans but i believe they are really good. They have some talented players, and they practice a lot. Are they good enough to take down the big dogs F***ing Ninjas? Ninjas arent a team to take lightly. Even the higher caliber teams have to take this team seriously. This match will be interested and not one sided at all (or i could be wrong). My prediction will be that, this will be a very close match, or FN will wipe the floor. Whoever wins this match, will have even a harder time in the next round, when they play team Sammich, who have given a good ring to their name beating fLb in the playoffs of season 2 APL, and losing to them without time anchor mikesol. They show a lot of potential of improving. This series of matches will be interesting

J.C. vs. TO HON! is interesting. J.C. has not been doing well but they have some new players on their squad yet again. I haven't seen the new players play but i wish them luck to the ace/flb/maimer pug they will have to face. Can their teamwork take down the semi-organized team?

I can say, easily, whoever wins teh series of the upper half of the bracket, will take 1st place easily...

The bottom hlf we start with Kings Live Forever vs Bong's Bitches. Bong's bitches has many new recruits and are looking to bounce back after missing the cut in playoffs in apl season 2. They are a good team with potential, but they cannot fall apart against KLF. KLF doesnt have a lot of talent, but they have superior teamwork which could break through bong's bitches. This match will be a very tense one as both teams want to make a better names for themselves. The winner of this match will face DW, yet again, all three teams are very close in calibur so this will be interesting to watch.

Now we go to Screaming Eagles. As a member of T.C. i can say we are very disorganized but have some very talented players. Seeing as we dont practice at all, i really am sort of scared of Screaming Eagles, who may not seem like the best team, but they have been practicing alot. They are getting better quick. Will they be able to take down the new T.C., and take this tournament to the full advantage? The winner will be facing Iron Legends, a team who has upped their level. They have been working hard and truly have become a team. This series is yet again is very close calibur between the three teams.

The randomizer of the bracket has made 3 seperate very good brackets that will definitely provide some amazing matches and previews into the new Altitude ProLeague Season 3. Teams have gotten a lot better and now are working hard. Any team could take this. Even though fLb and ACE members are participating, team Sammich looks like a strong contender, if they can go through FN/IB, and TO HON!! (no offence JC).

Good luck and have fun everyone =D

Evil I say this from the bottom of my heart. Your forcefully unbiased predictions are obvious bull**** and are just plain insulting to our intelligence. I love you dearly <3.

i mean, IB, defenitely one of the better new clans, with FN and Team Sammich, and then To Hon! that group is interesting

then you have DW/KLF/BB's, all very interesting intercourses

Then TC, $E, IL... also very interesting...

this is good :O

I'm touched you think $E is in close caliber with T.C. and IL, but its just not true. T.C. might be disorganized, but their individual talent may win out as our teamwork is pretty much crap. And don't even get me started about IL. Depending on who plays and how well they do, we may get one or two (or maybe even three) bomb hits on IL, but there is a VERY slim chance of us advancing past IL. Miracles may happen [Sky beat IL :O], but they don't happen twice [IL rapes sky shortly afterward].

$E guys, don't hate on me. You know what I said is true. Let's just swallow our pride (Ron-e), practice, and try our best.

Depends on who plays eh? All our players are great, we never had trouble getting 5 good players online to play. But thanks for the compliments.

By the way, I will play so we got our main bomb runner

Hey FU, dont put $E out of the running just yet. its true that most of our clan suks, but we have at least 5 great players (you and myself included) that are great 1v1. I think that all we have to do is work as a team, and we can win this thing. training has already begun, so dont cout us out just yet

This is like the most common misconception of every single beginning clan out there. When it comes to new clans, every one of them starts out thinking that "oh, we're quite good individually, we just need to learn how to play as a team". 99% of the time, this isn't the case (and you're not part of the 1%).

The top tier is full of teams that don't necessarily have the greatest teamwork but simply blow everybody else out by sheer individual skill. The biggest example of this is fLb: they rarely practice together, but win by sheer individual skill. Even teams like ACE, known for good teamwork, are entirely staffed by players who can single-handedly destroy lower tier clans if you simply give them 4 other noob players to use as meat shields.

Trust me, if your team was full of players that are "great 1v1", you'd be a top tier team already. If even one of your players was good, he'd already be well known in the community as such (T.C. is such an example: the team isn't very well known but they have evilarsenal and captainwolfe, well-known to be good).

The way that your team will get good is not by wasting time trying to coordinate schedules and practice together for an hour a week--it's by having every single one of your members just get on altitude regardless of whether there are teammates on and then mass gaming tbd to hone your individual skills.

This is coming from a player who belongs to one of the best examples of what EVERYBODY thought was a "skilled players, lacks teamwork" team: the Lobstars. Only recently have we gotten our **** together and started playing well relative to our reputation, but even then I must admit: even though our teamwork did improve, a large part of the reason why we became better was because of an increase of individual skill, not teamwork.

That is obviously good, but my best advice to you would be to actually have an objective while practicing.
For instance, since it's only scrims, you can lose without consequences so you should take advantage of that by testing stuff.
General gameplan on maps, plane composition, whatever you can think of.
ACE loses like 50% of the scrims we play, since we're always testing a bunch of stuff.

Lemme guess...

-5 acid loopies

-5 sniplanes

-some other ridiculous build that ends up costing KLF the game

Yeah, I know what you mean Tyr. For example, yesterday we played [JC] 4v4 with 2 loopies and 2 randas vs. 4 whales. It wasn't pretty but we won. By a very short margin I think. Scrims are fun but they're also a way of seeing what works best for your team, and you can't know what works best without trying all sorts of crazy setups.

Ya, it will be quite the match up, but i got to say that KLF scrim did show alot of people that we do have the skill. Although, we cant beat the same team, they must have hacked are weaknesses because we cant seem to beat them. Good Luck FN and im thinking of a scrim before the leagues start. Can someone tape are FN ,IB matchup?
It would be a 40% chance of us winning, or if we dont get are best players to play then 15%, lol
