Miranda Tricks with Video Clips!

This post will cover a couple tactics that may improve your miranda skills. This does some overlapping with the other guide but then again I mostly just wanted to post the clips I had captured and give a vets perspective on miranda. Alot of altitude skill comes just from instinctively learning how to fly better through practice, but knowing these tricks can definitely help your game.

These are all done with trickster, repair drone and ultra capacitor as perks.(other trickster setups are inferior)

First off lets start with something very basic: the charge-warp combo.
Hold f until you have a full charge; shoot at your target and simultaneously warp(hold up) into them.
Learn this and congratulations! your not useless with Miranda!

For heavy or armored planes you have to follow up with some spam or a charged shot to finish them(or run away until you recharge then do it again).

The other very common maneuver is "sniping". Get a full charge, take a shot then reverse to safety and repeat. Also along with sniping is 'spamming',(taking lots of little shots then reverse). Wether you want to snipe or spam really depends on the situation. The small shots actually add up to more damage for the same energy than large shots. My default Miranda offensive strategy is to snipe/spam while looking for opportunities to do a charge-warp combo(and also collect power-ups like I'm a bum collecting cans).
For my defense, I always reverse and warp out of harms way. Just like running in real life, it mostly just takes practice to get better at it. Their are some evasive tricks though. Against most projectiles you generally want to find some terrain to hide behind or try to outrun them.

Also, if you feel really stuck a fun move is to do something unexpected, such as warping right into the group of planes chasing you!

The next couple tricks are things you can do with items.

Lets start with the "ball dribbling" aka a self-pass with miranda in ball. Here's a clip of a nice ball play, 2 dribbles and a completely intentional bounce off the rock in front of me to a teammate for a goal. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypAWxGL8Hm4
You do it simply by releasing the ball then warp forward to catch it and repeating. The benefit is that it makes you a very very fast ball carrier, since when you carry the ball generally you move at greatly reduced speed, but with self passes you can move almost as if you were at full speed(and warping at that) It's not difficult to execute once you get the hang of it. The difficulty lies in avoiding the other team at the same time.

Next up is using walls. Rather than needing an enemy in chase to use a wall, miranda can warp up close and place a wall at point blank. Also, miranda can use a wall as a shield and warp back and forth shooting shots through it. This clip has a bit of both tricks in it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46NKorj3RuQ

Last but not least is the reverse missile trick, its not as useful as the other tricks but its fun to do. It's actually a glitch, but hopefully one that won't be fixed.
If you reverse and release a missile at the same time then the missile will be released with its momentum going in the direction you were going, but the missile will be aimed at your new direction.

Have you thought about making a video ? Try to get like 4/5 minutes of footage and edit so it runs smoothly and add some music.
It would be pretty interesting imo.
