No upnp gateway found
I have managed to setup a server from my computer, all the configurations are correct, i have enabled upnp on my router, allowed altitude through my firewall, and allowed port forwarding to the servers ports in and out of my router. When i run the server launcher the server comes up on the games list but it only shows as my ip address and i am only allowed to connect to it. This is a copy of the log below

i have also ran pfport checker and entered all ports the this game uses and it says they are open and working

I had/have the same problem.. fport checker reports incorrectly - your ports are most likely NOT open(at least they werent for me, though fport checker said they were).
I think the altitude upnp thing isn't working 100%, or it could just be our routers that are completely ****ed up, but I know at least for me upnp works for apache/uTorrent(although portforwarding is still screwed). |

i think it could just be my router, i have had problems in the past with other internet games and portforwarding but have always got them resolved so by experience i definetley know my ports are open going in and out of the computer, probably just my router or computer not supporting running an altitude server. was really just wanting to have a crack at running one, not to important anyway

I've had lots of trouble with opening ports on an Apple Airport. However, have you tried changing the ports from the default ones and trying to open another set? I did some random ones in the 20k range and got it to work. I still have the upnp thing too... I supposedly set it up on my router but server logs still show it to not be working. Do we know for sure if it is 100% working, or still being fixed? Lam, karl?

UPnP compatibility should be improved in the next patch (whenever it's ready). Stay tuned, hopefully it'll work for you.

Once again, the devs save the day! Hope the patch works out.

i dont think this will be helpful, but i couldnt get a upnp gateway working, although i had it enabled on my router. i started up skype and then i restarted my servers and they picked up skypes upnp, or something like that

It’s odd. My server worked until the latest patch. I always had the message but my sever worked.

See if your firewall isn't blocking UPNP service. My has option to "Allow UPNP in trusted zone" which was disabled. After turning it on server launcher could configure port forwarding automatically. I tried turning this feature and whole firewall off, and again server connected without problem using UPNP. So definitely firewall was troublemaker.
PS. Sorry for my English, it's not my native language. |
