New Installation problem

Searched and can't find a duplicate problem in the forum, so here goes:


I run the installer and get a java error. I just updated java to version 6.0.130.3 and tried again. The same error popped up. I rebooted and tried again. Same error. I downloaded the installer again and tried with that file. Same error.

The installer unpacks, installs about halfway and gives this error:

An error occurred:
java.lang.ExceptionInIitializerError
Error log: C:\Users\Joe\AppData\Local\Temp\install4jError3338 408674810965359

That log file is attached. So is the system info file broken into 2 pieces cause it was too big for the max file size here. I also got a screen cap of the Altitude folder, or what was installed of it before the error. No install log, I'm afraid.

Due to an obscure bug in the installer package used by Altitude you cannot install to a path that includes "!".

Since your username (Joe!) contains an "!" the default path won't work, but something like C:\Games\Altitude should work fine.
