Default Old Altitude Maps

Does anyone else think it would be a good idea to port the old classic maps like cave, city and grasslands onto the new altitude? We could do it as is or add better graphics. I really want to play these maps with the new altitude.

That's possible. I'll try to do this if you get some screenshots of the old maps. I don't remember what they look like.

the problem is that the new version doesn't have all the old objects like boost random landing pad, teleport, ect. but i agree i could handle a little modification to get the old maps. mostly cave and Forrest.

Hey look what I found: http://altitudegame.com/forums/showthread.php?t=101 it's grasslands.(its untextured, and too small for 7v7 but whatever). I think there is a converted old cave floating around too. Lamester is still keeping the map converter to himself though(we know it exists since he ran oldcave through it).

He probably fears that I'll convert cokane, which is a valid concern.

I believe that you used to be able to rename old alt maps and open them in the new editor. If you saved them out in the new editor they're be playable. This might no longer be true tho... god knows what's changed since then.

Or maybe I'm just remembering wrong.

!!! lol
...but seriously if that's the only concern it's only slightly delaying what inevitably happens when user generated content is featured.

Speaking of which, does anyone have a copy of the old cokane map? I don't seem to have it on this computer. I have a ton of other old maps though.

Edit: Good news I found it. Was looking in the wrong folder.
