Default ffa_shipment

Arguable spiritual successor to cod4's shipment map: small spaces and (hopefully) plenty of action.

Quite ugly because I'm quite lazy; but feedback on the design is appreciated.

From the screen shot it looks way too big, but once I actually tried it out, I think it's fine. I like the wide variety of spawn locations; nobody will be anticipating where someone will spawn next, that's for sure!

One change I would make is to increase the size of the narrow passageways, and the middle assortment of blocks. They're too small to reasonably get through, especially if your plane is in the middle of making a roll. I realize you probably want them to be tight, but I'd say at least make the gaps as wide as a wall powerup. Another option might be to change the hull and make them cause less damage when hit.

I am going to have to agree with protest boy. The desire to make small passageways, I feel, can only go so far. When the passage ways get so small that it's almost impossible to traverse without hitting the walls, then I think it has hit its limit. I feel like a lot of people who play Loopy always want to have maps with really technical areas with small passageways. However, I think that this kind of design, ends up hurting the other planes too much.

Other than that, I think you should expand on your idea. Maybe add a texture or a few colors here and there. It will be hard to get people to play test a map that is white with a grey background.

Keep up the good work!

I can certainly agree with what you're saying; it's one of the main things I ran into testing it myself. Anyone have suggestions on what to place in the center of the map? I mainly added what's already there to keep it interesting without obstructing too much, but I'm not sure whether to replace it with something else. Maybe a powerup?

As for widening the tunnels, that's certainly easy to accomplish.
