Slow motion
it wood be a great option if you could do a slow mo button like in need for speed. It would make it more fun and it would show u were u get hit but in slow mo.

Except the Speedbraker feature (slow mo) in Need for Speed is only available is the career mode (SINGLE player campaign). Altitude is a multiplayer game. If you've ever played NFS online or using LAN, you'd notice that Speedbraker is disabled.

A killcam replay doesnt need a button, though, so he must be talking about speedbraker.

I have a "Slow Motion" mode on my game. Open 100 web pages in my browser and download 30 copy's of Altitude, Open all of Creative Suite's CS4 Applications. That will make your game operate in Slow Motion my friend.
Seriously Though, What's the need for Slow Motion? I don't see a Legitimate Reason on why we should have a option with "Slow-Motion" It would take work, and I don't think Karl and Lam think that Work is "Necessary" Maybe if there were more people saying it then yeah, but I doubt this would happen. Another thin you could do Element to see where you get hit is film a game, then make the movie "slow motion" and you could pretty much see who and were you got hit. |

Not that you have to film it to see where you get hit. The plane is in comparable size to the projectiles.
Even if they took the time to implement it, it wouldn't be as cool as NFS (as you mention). In NFS you see that little slow-mo crash, and it's awesome because you can see your car twisting, flipping and breaking apart. In Altitude you would just witness the same thing, your plane being exploded and falling, but in a slow, painful way. I rather watch what the others are doing, or my killer crashing into the wall after it. |

I have seen slow motion in Counter-Strike matches. When a player is about to press the trigger and its going to be a headshot, it starts the slow motion for everyone or maybe it was only for the spectators (HLTV).

To me, this seems a great idea. Heck, I was gonna post it myself.
It would just like be COD where you can all see the amazing last kill, or bomb drop or goal or whatever. This sounds like an awesome idea, except the disadvantages. |

if you want to limit your framerate, you could do /testtargetfps 30 or whatever

While we're on the subject of really kick ass suggestions, I would like to suggest Altitude get a "Jet-Ski" mode. It would be very similar to Wave Race 64.
While on your Jetski, you would also have a variety of pistols and sub machine guns, that you would use to shoot at your opponents GTA driveby style. Then when you finished your race you could get in a car and drive around a big city GTA style back to your house (Full customizable of course) and then play regular Altitude on your computer. I don't know how hard this would be to implement but I think it's a really good idea so GOGOGO Klamster!!!11!1 |
