Star Core

Greetings. This is the First Map I have ever made. It has a "Spacey" feeling, and it is a remix of Mayhem and Core. The graphics were altered, and the sprites were set at different locations. I hope you guys Enjoy "Star Core"! This will not be the last map I make, there is currently two versions of this map:

(1dm) 1-Life Deathmatch
(TBD) Team Base Destruction

I am gonna push for making different versions of this map, like ball or whatever. If you want an "ffa" version or something else just PM me, we look forward to your comments! Please criticize! This is my first map and I want all comments! Here are some screenshots of the map:

While it may have been you intention, the map doesn't look symmetrical. The left-center portion of the map is more cluttered than the right. Also, the collidable metal objects look too similar to the background color in some areas (e.g., see the bottom turret in the second picture). Perhaps you could put the star layer underneath the collidable section and then increase the color contrast between the two entities.
